bypass06 Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Looks like Simon has played his last game for us. To many good players ahead of him. But according to his Wiki page...It's all contractual.

RoyRover Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Steve Kean sets his own targets at Blackburn Rovers http://www.lancashir...ackburn_Rovers/ So Edinho is a better option that Vukcevic and has played well enough to be in the team? Complete and utter lies as usual. Good to see Stevie boy getting wound up. The more pressure put on him the better. I'd love to see him losing the rag.
ada2020 Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Steve Kean sets his own targets at Blackburn Rovers http://www.lancashir...ackburn_Rovers/ He sure does, relegation was achieved last season at only the second attempt, well done Stevie boy!!!!!!
yoda Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 He sure does, relegation was achieved last season at only the second attempt, well done Stevie boy!!!!!! He said: “I haven’t been set a target. We set our own targets, we know what it is going to take to win the league and that is what we are trying to do." Is there anyone left who does not think coco owns a piece of the action at Ewood Park? In any business that I have worked for or owned, the directors set the targets, without exception

Is there anyone left who does not think coco owns a piece of the action at Ewood Park? In any business that I have worked for or owned, the directors set the targets, without exception I have noticed That Coco has not mentioned how he has 'spoken with the owners' and that they are 'fully behind me' !!
yoda Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I have noticed That Coco has not mentioned how he has 'spoken with the owners' and that they are 'fully behind me' !! Do you think the pressure is building and he is now saying things off the cuff and making errors of judgement! (more than usual)
Tom10K Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Do you think the pressure is building and he is now saying things off the cuff and making errors of judgement! (more than usual) Speaking of errors of judgement... Blackburn Rovers boss happy with 'best squad I've ever had' How can the squad be the strongest its been since he took over? Surely the Premier League squad was much better or is the Steve Kean view of the world that Phil Jones, Chris Samba, Jermaine Jones or Yakubu wouldn't walk into this current side?

martonrover Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I have noticed That Coco has not mentioned how he has 'spoken with the owners' and that they are 'fully behind me' !! Yes, that also struck me as significant as he usually trots that out repeatedly.
ABBEY Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Do you think the pressure is building and he is now saying things off the cuff and making errors of judgement! (more than usual) Nah , I just think he's just a self obsessed pleb.

I dislike Kean as much as the next man, but you've deliberately taken the quote out of context by shortening it. The full quote is "In terms of options and competition for places this is without doubt the strongest we have ever been." We do have more options in each position than we've had under Kean - the squad is huge. The quality of the first XI obviously isn't up there with the squad he inherited but that's not what he is saying. Whether or not competition for places is important if the quality is missing is another discussion entirely. Robinson Ribeiro Dann Givet Olsson Kazim Etuhu Murphy Pedersen Gomes Rhodes Sandomierski Orr Hanley Henrique Olsson Formica Lowe Dunn Vukcevic Rochina Best That excludes Nunes, Jorge and Edinho, who have all played league football this year, and Morris, Henley, Kean and Linganzi, who have appeared in the past. And Diogo Rosado. Huge!
donnermeat Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 The whole situation with Vuckevic just enrages me.
GoneSouth Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I read this in amazement - the tactical genius that is Steve Kean has the front to criticise another manager for his tactics and team selection http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/top-football-stories/steve-kean-baffled-by-jordan-rhodes-role-1-2526402 " Nah Craigie lad, ye didnae wanna do that. You've got to think positively. Play him up front on his own in front of an ageing midfield, get some balls hoofed up to him from the back and you'll do just fine. Don't leave him out now - wait until he criticises you in training then just inexplicably drop him and never mention him again."
LeChuck Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 The whole situation with Vuckevic just enrages me. Apparently he wasn't very good against MK Dons. Although I struggle to believe he can be worse than Formica on the right wing.

Without doubt the quality has decreased, greater choice of poorer players as you say its another discussion.

Although if the reason is to try and weaken Kean's position then it's forgiveable.
Mercer Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Read Kean's rambling bullshit today and it confirmed, if ever I needed it, that I was absolutely spot on in not renewing my season tickets. IMO, he must be the most disliked and vilified manager in the history of football and he's doing a feckin good job of destroying our club. Unless Venky's see sense, and quick, though their track record gives me little hope, then I think we will soon be finished as any sort of force.

Ray P Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Kean on Radio 5 with Colin Murray soon. Text 85058 for your comments. These two are made for each other. Enjoy

There is no favourable argument Kean could make for this squad over the one he inherited upon slithering into the post.
John Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I've done it, put Radio 5 live on, ready for the cringe worthy conversation.........sure I read Kean was at the Under 21 game tonight.
RoyRover Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I've done it, put Radio 5 live on, ready for the cringe worthy conversation.........sure I read Kean was at the Under 21 game tonight. Me too. I asked if Kean was surprised that he was still in a job with a record of 15 wins from 63 games and relegating us considering how Sam was sacked so quickly after losing a few games, with the team sitting in mid table? I also wanted to know if Steve could confirm if he had a part ownership in the club or associated companies? Doubt they will be asked, but if they were, the liar would probably just talk about what the owners are trying to here and the strength of the squad.
John Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 He's on in 2 mins, excited! Due to speaking waffle, they have ran out of time so no Interview.

Or maybe something happened or he was told not too go on? Murray just said that hé called in at 9, which clashed with the news, so he missed the slot and they will try and get him on at 9.20. Typical Kean. He can't even make a phone call at the right time!

Chrsit Roy! Give the fella a break. He's had a full day preparing for Bristol City and now he's wading through another 500 letters of support. He's got a lot on his plate.
