More info on him http://www.transferm...86645_2011.html and another one suspiciously devoid of agent details

He's nearly 26.

According to Wikipedia, in 2010/11 he played for Feirense 19 times; in 2011/12 he made no appearances for Braga and 7 for Feirense on loan. Apparently Feirense play in the 2nd Division and have a stadium with a capacity of 5,500.

This really looks a suspicious signing. Allegedly.

Of all the deals this summer(Portuguese and otherwise), this is the most suspicious considering the players age(he should be an established player now if he is any good) and his club hopping and lack of appearances over the last few years(clearly he's making some agent quite wealthy/ier).

Its ridiculous, all the money the club are supposedly spending to upgrade the already great academy facilities yet the youth players will barely be given a chance with all STEVE's Portuguese puppet army cock blocking them.

On the transfermarkt link, you can actually see all his stats from the 08/09 season to present day, little pull down menu thingy just under the players name and details

This guy seems to have at least made some league appearances in a top division (albeit Portuguese.) He has started Academica's first two league games as well in the Primeria this season.

Even as a dodgy, strange signing - he will still be better than Conference National standard Miles Anderson.

Cheap.

Low risk.

What's the problem?

He might be cheap , but like everything that goes on at Rovers you have to question who else benefits probably more than the clubfrom his signing,. Might turn out to be decent for the championship but with people involved in Rovers at the moment who imo are interested in themselves and NOT the well being of the club, signings like this raise questions.

Fair enough, I don't know who else will benefit but it seems obvious that we have a contact in Portugal at the moment helping us tie up deals. I think we need a fourth choice centre back, and I'm fine with him being a 26 year old Portugese I've never heard of before.

You could apply the above to all rovers signings over the last 2 years if you didn't know any better.

That's pushing the boat a little...

I don't think we've enjoyed a successful transfer window, in fact I can't remember when was the last time I felt we improved our squad before or during a season. The money men will be judged when the window has shut, but as it currently stands I'd rather they spend as little as possible on a central defender and save the cash for a good striker instead. If Sandomierski, Henrique and Rosado conclude our transfer business this window then I'll be extremely displeased.

My opinion on this will always remain the same...these players may well have been brought under the club via some dodgy dealings, but that generally isn't the players fault imo, with one or two exceptions such as Myles Andersen being the prime example.

This Henrique fella might be rubbish, he might be ok, he might surprise us all like Ribeiro did on Saturday, whatever he is i'll give him my support if he's on the pitch in a rovers shirt, even though wearing a rovers shirt doesn' carry as much pride as it once did thanks to Venky's and Kean.

Did anybody heard about Samba when signed??

Come on the players hasn't signed yet and could be a good player. I have to say that I was impressed with Ribeiro against Leicester, I think he surprised us all, where was he last year or has he finally adapted?

Hadn't heard of Samba, but he was brought in on trial and given a good assessment by the Taffia. Do we really need to compare Hughes signings on a shoestring, with Keans?
