Guest Norbert Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Stupid timing, but it is probably linked to the Italian man who is trying to buy Leeds. He'll probably want to hire some Italian manager.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted January 31, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted January 31, 2014 It's all kicking off at Leeds, their main sponsor threatening to pull out over the McDermott sacking and McCormack. What a mess.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 It's all kicking off at Leeds, their main sponsor threatening to pull out over the McDermott sacking and McCormack. What a mess. Never liked Leeds, but some empathy with gross mismanagement
longsiders1882 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Leeds has the possible makings of a Portsmouth if they aren't careful
Audax Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2549743/Leeds-sack-boss-McDermott-run-poor-form-Championship.html Story here, Italians are trying to buy the club, manager sacked. I think the original story had it that the Italian Consortium had already bought the club but they may have backtracked on that story. --- Osvaldo goes to Juventus too. http://int.soccerway.com/news/2014/January/31/juve-confirm-osvaldo-signing/n260571/ Premier League news.
Guest Norbert Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 They said on radio 5 that the prospective new Italian owners wanted McDermott to hire Gianluca Festa as a coach/assistant, to which said no, Festa is managing a team in 8th place in serie C or thereabouts.

He is known in Cagliari as ‘The King of Corn’ and in 2010 was linked with a takeover of West Ham. On the surface, those actual convictions would be bothersome to the supporter. Maybe this is in part why McDermott did not acquiesce, give in.
Guest Norbert Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Sounds like an Italian version of that Fake Sheikh who briefly owned Portsmouth until they found out he was a Saudi camel herder. Things look like they are going to get messy at Belland Road.

Baz Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Leeds fans blocking exit of Cellini from Elland Road until he comes outside and explains whats going on. Wonder if Leeds fans will be slated by all and sundry for this? P.s. Totally back them.
Guest Norbert Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 The FA would have allowed Bernie Madoff to buy a club so long as he sold them a flat in New York.

JBiz Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 They showed more balls than rovers fans have. We sit down and stay quiet and like venkys now .. Say's the moron who suggest violence on pitch is a good idea.. Oh and grammar may help you get your point across. We sit down, stay quiet and "like" the Venkys now. The thing is though, your not far wrong. Nobody Genuinely "likes" the Raos, but the minute they leave, things may go a bit "Racing Santander" Scary though that! (cue the "OMG ITS MRS V Y HAVE U FELL IN LOVE WID A CHICKHIN)
ABBEY Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Moron ?? Such brave words . Say's the moron who suggest violence on pitch is a good idea.. Scary though that! (cue the "OMG ITS MRS V Y HAVE U FELL IN LOVE WID A CHICKHIN) Just trying to work out your grammar .
Stuart Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Moron ?? Such brave words . Just trying to work out your grammar . Funny that he was actually agreeing with you to come out with that post. Must be the definition of a backhanded complement!
Proudtobeblue&white Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Doyle scores 6 mins into his debut v Dingles
Stuart Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 22 so far. They did well to hang onto him in January.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Not been in it, goal from nowhere
LDRover Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Made Barton look a right mug there. A lot has been made of formations on this board but the top 3 all employee rigid 4-4-2 with QPR and Burnley having the best defensive record in the division. They can do it well because their allotted def mids (Marney and Barton) can actually tackle.
