No winners in this situation other than ' Boro's promotion rivals. They've looked a real two bob club, Rhodes has shown his true colours, we're stuck with a guy who doesn't want to be here. He will most likely be warming the bench on mega bucks barring injuries and will get us plenty of grief when we go to 'Boro next week.

What a mess.

I really don't see it that way, bringing him on from the bench will work wonders, especially at Boro, would't put it past him to bang a couple in, in the last 15 minutes

If PL can pick up a decent No 10 like Hoolahan as he says in the next 24 hours then this could still turn out OK .

Agreed. Worst case scenario: no Rhodes and no 'Rhodes money'.

Boro have @#/? us over good and proper. We will almost certainly see him leave now for a lower fee. Shop soiled.

I'm afraid that many Premier league teams have watched him often in the past. Rhodes misses too many chances, lacks real pace and doesn't have the physique to compensate for that. Much like Nugent used to be.

Nugent had a bit of pace.

PL only said that the money would be used to reinvest in the squad and that no one player is bigger than Rovers. Nothing personal about Rhodes.

If anything Rhodes is in a far more difficult position.

PL also under no obligation to start Rhodes.

The only glimmer of hope is that Rhodes gets a real chip on his shoulder and goes out with a point to prove. If Graham can be the brute and Watt the drive then we may have just the man to mop up the chances that they bring. It might even suit him not to be the only source of goals.

Just hope we haven't already mortgaged the £9m on those players already here!

£30m over 4 years in total. Take out the transfer fee, and some for the agent, leaves about £18m to Jordan. Do the maths and tell me that 'Boro really have screwed us over!

They have if they are returning damaged goods having tried before purchase. Just hope he can come back from this. Would be great if he scored the winner against them.

So Rhodes steps straight back in ? Have you ever played team football ? Have you any idea what that would do for team morale ? It's funny that the minute he appears to be out of the club our work rate seems to have improved massively !

It'd start the next game with the team that started against Oxford. They've earned the right to wear the shirts.

Doesn't reflect well on Rhodes. Obviously he's asking for more money, despite being on a lot here. Might be bad advice from his agent, but that might be his only chance of playing premiership football gone. When you're already a millionaire, that looks a bit foolish.

Added extras that Rhodes and agent were demanding. I am hoping that someone else has come in and Rhodes had tried to chance his arm with Boro.
