For starters, they will not want sponsorship from any brand which is perceived to be as big or bigger than their own. Remember they think completely differently than us folk.

The reason they bought us was not for our history or our future. It was only to have their brand name promoted. Why dilute the fantastic globally recognised Venkys brand with another well known brand. They are happy with small local companies.

It’s on the shirt sleeve, it sponsors the academy teams and it’s all over the ground already, so it would make any difference to me… and surely it’s a way of those ‘that never refuse a cheque’ to put more into the club.
