Thanks for your comments, Joe. I know an Ipswich Town supporter, Keith who lives in Walton-on-the-Naze. He's not been a happy bunny for a few seasons now.

Hope you get promotion this season. It's about time.

What a great opportunity for Rovers  to promote Ladies football at the club on the back of that momentous victory. No doubt though that Waggott & Co will look at it, shrug their shoulders and say “Well, they don’t even play for us anymore”. And we move on.

Or worse still it might attract more people to watch rovers and then they will be panicking. More fans not on our watch

Erm, Rovers Ladies have been at the forefront of the women's game for the best part of 20 years. That's why those three were here before United or City had anything to match.

Would you have even known that they were, if you hadn't been spoon fed the tweet quoted above? Which like it or not is exactly Rovers taking the "great opportunity to promote Ladies football at the club on the back of that momentous victory" 🤷‍♂️

Also, both of ITV and BBC North West had done live broadcasts from Rovers within 48 hours of the match. Below a tweet from national BBC Breakfast, Monday morning. Do you really think all of that just happens automatically whilst staff at Ewood "shrug their shoulders"?

Interesting read.

The Blackburn talent factory: How humble beginnings at Rovers' remote training centre in the hills of east Lancashire shaped future England stars Georgia Stanway, Keira Walsh and Ella Toone.

It mentions the girls training up at Blacksnape. Obviously a typo but, anyone who has played in the Darwen League, will realise that Blacksnape is actually 859 ft above sea level, and not 80 ft. (Just checked on the OS map).

The only other pitches in Lancashire, of a similar height must be those at Trawden.

What I should have said was to further promote Ladies football at the club, my mistake. Also, I don’t need “spoon feeding” by you or anyone else on matters regarding our club. I comment on issues I fully understand and have an interest in, not to be deliberately vindictive or controversial.

Do you think the club invited the BBC & ITV or was it the other way round?
