Statistically, the defensive work aside perhaps, they represent a pretty standard performance for most midfielders. 2 Quote

G Somerset Rover Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Grabbed another assist and MOTM display yesterday against Fulham. Nice to see high praise for our academy too in some quarters: https://x.com/rajsinghchohan/status/1997762721543024880?s=20 Edited 3 hours ago by G Somerset Rover 1 Quote

A hard working player but he hasn’t got the passing ability that Wharton has. Another instant pass yesterday that created the Palace first goal. You could see how he spotted what was on the cards a couple of seconds before everybody else. 1 Quote

And not just because he's a local lad who played for my team. He is as good as there is in that position. When you make the game look as easy as he does you know he's special Edited 1 hour ago by Comfortably numb 2 Quote

Comfortably numb Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Palace to sell Wharton at end of season Yesterday Exclusive By Alan Nixon Crystal Palace will sell midfield star Adam Wharton at the end of the season if a multi-million bid comes in. The England hopeful is on the wanted lists at Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City and has foreign interest as well. Palace are now preparing to cash in if those giants come forward with the money - and the funds would help them. A huge bid would give Palace extra to offer striker Jean-Philippe Mateta whose deal is running out. As revealed first here, the player and club are well apart in negotiations. Palace were looking at giving Wharton a new deal with a fixed price in that contract. But that will not stop the likely exit of the young Eagle. Blackburn Rovers will be watching developments as they are due a slice of the profit after selling him for £18 million plus a possible £4 million in extras. Wharton will be open to a move that includes Champions League football as that seems the next step in his meteoric career. Quote

I'll be surprised if Real Madrid/Barcelona don't try and entice. He'd be a perfect fit at Bayern too. He'd drastically improve his all round game by playing in another top league 1 Quote

'If a multi-million bid comes in' has to be some of the stupidest phrasing I've seen in an article. Nearly every team in the Championship would pay 'multi millions' for him. Practically every move in the Prem is multi millions. Quote
