I never go on X. However I went on for 5 minutes yesterday, I saw a Rovers 'fan' stoic something or other telling people nobody's ever bid for us and we aren't a club people would buy. I nearly broke my phone. With fans like that who needs enemies. Up there with "nothing special about Blackburn Rovers". Wouldn't even accept that people may have bid as it wasn't in public domain. I was a bit naive to the scale of Venkys euphoria on social media.

He is a club plant - The things he spouts is what you'd expect SP or RG to say.

End of the day the only protest that will raise any awareness is one of two options

1. Total boycott - Not happening

2. Cause so much disruption that the game gets abandoned - Also not happening

We could all bring our watering cans!!

Still a very sizeable number within Ewood too of that mindset, don’t let the chants fool anybody.

Even with chants ringing there were many with zipped mouths upper jack. But I did notice it to be more vocal than normal.

Must admit its bizarre how this has taken to splitting fans opinions on the venkys. This is where we fail as a fan base.

Total respect for Sheffield Wednesday for uniting and look what they've come to now after their unity. New owners on the brink and pumped 500k into the club from fans alone.

There's enough of us left for us to culminate this type of approach but it's just not gonna be everyone

It's a real shame that people have such a downbeat and pessimistic approach to life. Never wanting or demanding better for the Club because of a baseless belief that there is no better option than Venkys.

I say it is baseless because all the evidence we have available is what has happened at other comparable clubs, and the clear pattern is that all comparable clubs have changed hands to new ownership without collapsing into oblivion.

I often get called negative and pessimistic - I admit I am due to the unrelenting misery we've had during the last 15 years - but I still believe in a better future for this club and won't accept the disgrace that it has become. Whereas those who are quite content to accept this situation and even go further than that and criticise / rubbish those who do want better.

With such attitudes permeating the place it’s hardly a surprise that the town and club have ended up in the appalling state they both are.

I am a fan who is often called “doom and gloom” I just want the best for the club and want a brighter future with a better ownership who care, that is all.

Sheff Weds was a splintered fan base, make no mistake about that. The ousting has been swift compared to us, but when push came to shove, more fell on the Chansiri out side.

Good luck to them.

Sheff Weds have '4 or 5' concrete offers and expect new owners by January according to BBC.

Well maybe we can find out who they are and ask if they want to look into another championship side

I’m going to put this out there, we should be chasing Gestede and the stooges out of the JW stand, where are the fans with some bollox?

Make them worry about coming to Ewood, give them something to think about, it’s comfy seats and collect your wages right now.

I've seen us beating the likes of Man United and Liverpool with the whole stadium rocking and they were still silent up there.

Probably too busy stuffing themselves on strawberrys and cream.

It properly annoys me though I love sitting up there ( without strawberries and cream) got a good.little bunch around us we're relatively vocal. When the the stand up if you hate venkys chant came round we were looking around it's crazy how many don't want to stand up through embarrassment or bad knees...

They'd have to rearrange the tartan blankets to stand up. Not happening.

The fanbase is overwhelmingly united against the ownership, yet a small few still cling to the idea that the Venkys are somehow our charitable saviours, keeping us financially afloat and ensuring that our small-town club remains “competitive” in the Championship. If that’s the kind of club you want, one with zero ambition or involvement, genuinely feel sorry for you. Thankfully, those voices are very much in the minority.

Sheffield Wednesday have shown that real change is possible. Even a simple restructure, with Pasha and Gestede gone, could transform this club. And as for those claiming that “no one wants to buy us” or “we’ve never had offers,” that’s absolute nonsense. There would be a queue. English football remains the crown jewel for investors, and we’re no exception.

One straightforward step we should take, in line with previous calls to action, is to write an open letter to the Venkys (with support from MPs). The message should be clear: with the multi-year Indian tax prohibitions now lifted, 15 years of failure and on our 150 year anniversary, January is their chance to finally show ambition. There are no more excuses for avoiding investment. By that point, we’ll likely be hovering around the relegation zone and in desperate need of reinforcements. The media would undoubtedly pick up the story, and if there’s no response or action from the owners, then our conclusion becomes undeniable — the Venkys have no desire or ambition to ever see Rovers grow.

It’s a simple move, but one that could be hugely revealing.(Apologies if this has already been discussed)

Interestingly enough, one of the biggest hooligans over the past 30yrs was sat in my seat last time I was in JW. He’s in his 60’s now with bad knees, but plenty of nutters do sit up there believe it or not.

Agreed save for the suggestion that a boardroom reshuffle / investment in January under Venkys would be acceptable.

There's no future until the Indians are gone together with their mates and hangers on. No ifs, buts or compromises. Too much time and suffering has gone for that. They aren't ever going to change or learn because they don't want to.

The health and dare I say it survival of this club depends on them leaving quickly, not just bringing in some other buffoons to the boardroom who will be undermined and constrained even if they are competent.

The owner literally stopped putting money in. It's an easy protest to win.

Despite their huge so called backing keeping us in business this could be our second relegation battle in 3 years and we'd almost certainly have been bust in the last year or so had they not been lucky enough to have Wharton to sell.

So their happy clapping claims don't really stand up to these days.
