Bet half of them boycott

Some of won't but will probably miss games when it suits them because they are pissed off or can't be arsed.

There is a lot of hypocrisy surrounding all this.

This thread over on the breakaway forum is certainly an alternative view to the one here to say the least.

Their terrible decisions have put us in a relegation battle, it’s their fault. So because they put us in this position let’s keep funding the club to keep them here .. what an idea! not. It’s one game to get change we are dying for.. we don’t want we need them removing.. BRFC is dying.

What's all this lefty slagging?

What does dexterity have to do with anything?

I think the opposition to the boycott is summed up with this comment:

"Nope. I’ll protest by all means but I’m not missing watching MY Rovers."

As with most if not all of the other opposition to it, they've made the issue all about themselves.

I see chaddy is a senior member on there. Hopefully he'll stay there for good.

Im surprised at the level of vitriol they have towards supporters with a different viewpoint and this site in particular.

You shouldn’t be- they left here in a huff after being an absolute nightmare for ages and not owning it.

They’re not big fans of the forum are they?

Are they old members that have been banned or have they left in a huff?

Yeah, they (can't quite remember who was the instigator) set up that forum because they decided they didn't like this one, despite posting on it for years.

Drog’s had some journey. Vehemently anti-Venky when he was on here. Anybody remember his mantra for them? ‘Eeees better, eeeees cheaper’’… now he’s cheerleader-in-chief.

Mental, started attacking me on the other message board, if you've been watching it 😂

Unsure what his motive is personally

Leave em to it, they can have their safe haven and their ‘immigrant watch’ thread, I didn’t know the place still existed to be honest but it’s interesting to know that the consensus there is different.

Seeing a lot of mixed opinions elsewhere on social media etc which makes me think we’ll never have a fanbase almost unanimously behind any movement, in fact I’m almost convinced some would love any protest to fail just to stick it to the ‘other side’

This kind of talk is what really pisses me off

'Exactly right Drog, we have the most unique fanbase in the whole country, split right down the middle.

Some, like me and you, see the Walker years as the outliers, the 30 years or so before and the 15 years or so since, as a more realistic indication of where a small to medium sized club lies in the modern game dominated by money and the big city clubs.'

In any case the years before Jack walker were way more enjoyable than now. Even when we were in Div 3.

Drog and Abbey wasn't it? Fallen out with each other now and Abbey doesn't post.

Agree back then we were poorer than we are now but we had hope that something magical might happen.  Now we know nothing will happen

He wanted all the Lancashire clubs to join forces under a 'Lancashire United' banner at one point, if I remember rightly?

Defeatist mentality.

Oh this is where we really should be so lets stay here in our zone forever. Meanwhile we'll watch other smaller and medium sized clubs regularly pass us on our journey to sit with the Oldhams and Swindons. Because they were once in the Prem as well ya'know.
