It’s great news that they have now been sent the coverage, of what is really going on. What they do about it, now remains to be seen. 4 Quote

There’d be a lot more banners if people like you & @Mattyblue stopped pouring cold water on things & making up lies like this or saying that the club are all over it. They’re not. But I have actually witnessed people being searched and disallowed from entering with banners. Indeed, I tried to intervene on behalf of the two men with the "FA left us to die" banner. We even joked about stewards "just following orders." 3 Quote

The only way to get these into the ground and expose the truth, is to be creative. It is a terrible state of affairs, when the club had had to go to great lengths and employ heavy handed tactics, to prevent banners exposing, the people killing the club. Despite that, certain people still managed to get them in and covered, in the press and on social media and I salute each and every one of you. 3 Quote
DuffsLeftPeg Posted May 1 Author Posted May 1 I’m sure certain stewards have been heavy handed but there’s certainly no consistent approach. I got my banner in easily enough and the “Pasha Out” one is huge and that’s been in twice. Let’s be creative like other fan bases have & actually work to get something that will have an even bigger impact. Rather than naysaying about what will happen and what won’t - that’s all I’m saying. Mattyblue Posted May 1 Posted May 1 I have not ‘naysayed’ anything. My point is if folk aren’t turning up in numbers to the pre game meet ups (they never do, especially if the team is winning) then there’s not a lot you can do about it - so let’s focus on things that do get traction, I.e the social media/other media stuff Glen is doing. Unless the team is crashing to relegation you won’t get much take up at Ewood, the vast majority of the crowd purely react to results, it’s as simple as that, it’s not besmirching your efforts in any way. 4 Quote

I must admit I always assumed the opposite and Waggott and Paaha discouraged requests to the owners for money to make themselves look bettwr and protect any performance related bonuses. 2 Quote

glen9mullan Posted May 2 Posted May 2 On diplomacy to date the club publicly stating they want to address concerns, however they are avoiding any transparent meetings. Many supporters don't want the coalition to engage with the club at all, however given the club publicly stated they wanted diplomacy reluctantly we've called them out on this on the 18th April 2025 and stated we are wiling to sit down and discuss in a democratic, transparent setting. We did not want to give the club the playing card that we are unreasonable and won't engage. The club have offered no dates and are stalling, I suspect the main reasoning is they can't get suhail to agree to attend No Suhail , no meeting is our stance. These issues are not going to go away (as we've always maintained its not result driven in terms of what's happening on the pitch). We did pull a statement last night which we were gonna issue on the back of Yasirs interview and ahead of the game tomorrow. Our position democratically changed due to Yasirs social media exchanges and we felt what was an extremely positive statement, we couldn't stand by due to the divisive nature of the pod and subsequent social media exchanges between Yasir and concerned supporters The panel is extremely active in the "think tank" , we've many things being bounced about throughout each day. Many are at the game tomorrow (including me) so if anyone wants a chat/update feel free to speak to me 4 Quote

Many are at the game tomorrow (including me) so if anyone wants a chat/update feel free to speak to me I must admit, if the aim of the Coalition is to remove the owners then I cant see a great deal of value in sitting down with the Club. Once you've sat down with them and asked "Will you sell the Club?" and they say "No". - where do you go after that? It's only if you've got a Plan B and are prepared to try and encourage them to fund the Club properly whilst they're here that there's much room for discussion. On the Yasir front, of all the things you could complain about I think this is pretty small beer in the general scheme of things. It would appear he's lived in Blackburn all his life but has been an Arsenal fan since errrr.......around the time Venky's took us over and we went shit. It seems he's guilty of doing the usual sort of thing players do when transferring to a new Club and claiming they've supported the Club all their lives but so what? It doesnt matter who he supports it only matters whether he's any good at his job. It might also be that he didn't mean his comments exactly in the way in which they were construed by WATR but by the same token I dont think he should be making such a thing about being a victim in all of this, if anything he should be apologising for not making what he meant clear enough. Either way it shouldnt be a big deal for either side imo. Far more important stuff to worry about. Final point about results, in many ways they've been the enemy of your protest efforts recently, but unless everything falls miraculously into place yet again for the umpteenth successive round of fixtures tomorrow, they will suddenly be your friend again. If we dont make the play offs that will still be a pretty poor effort from where we were when VI took over and then we'll be stuck with him for another 3 years. Alternatively if the minor miracle happens tomorrow and then he takes us up through the play offs you can sit down with the Club and discuss where the statue of him is going to be situated! Keep up the good work. 1 Quote
