DutchRover Posted Saturday at 17:08 Posted Saturday at 17:08 So far from being a back-up, it seems Alebiosu is the new starter. They must have known Brittain wanted to leave because they didn't offer his a fair contract.Β I bet we lose Trav and Tron too now, replace them with more cheap relegated European players. We're a basket case of a club. 8 Quote

We're a basket case of a club. Fair contract is all context. He might be on 8k, we might have offered 12k - it's been rumoured Cantwell is on 20k. He might want that but we can't afford it - not with trying to get down the income to wages ratio. And even if they could match at 20k - Boro might be offering 25k.Β Essentially once other established Championship teams become interested, we cannot compete financially.Β 2 Quote

Hasta Posted Saturday at 17:34 Posted Saturday at 17:34 Eustace wanted the contracts sorted back in December. The players by all accounts wanted to discuss contracts. They havenβt offered Travis a contract. Theyβve only just offered Brittain one in the last couple of weeks when they could have renewed it at the start of the year. Tronstadt, who knows? So I want to keep them. Β Any money brought in doesnβt affect what we can spend and doesnβt get reinvested, so what good is 3 or 4 million if we just end up playing with kids or relegated Euro-fodder.
