On transfermarket, there would appear to be a rumour about Colin Rosler, a centre half from Malmo.

Does he have an British passport so bypasses esc rules?

He was in Man City's Academy at age 10 (presumably due to their links with his dad), so suppose its a possibility

It’s a great point…

The number who are β€˜concerned’ or blatantly claim were weaker now, simply because they’ve not seen the signings play is laughable.

Listen, all of the players we’ve signed COULD be shit, but I’m not stupid enough to write anyone off until I’ve watched them play and the number of fully grown men willing to do so is truly bewildering! πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸ€£

Really? I’ve seen plenty of posts insisting that we are weaker now. In spite of signing six players. Most of whom none of us (including myself) have seen play. At best that’s saying the players we’ve signed are no better than the ones who’ve left, at worst those posters are saying the players who’ve signed are shite.

My point is, how could any of us know? It’s not even like the Danny Batth, Weiman, Cantwell etc situation last year where there would’ve been a number of fans who had watched those players and formed an opinion.

We could be significantly worse off, or we could be significantly better off. Only time will tell.

The players signed will be given a chance by the fans to show what they can do

But it's logical to think we are weaker now than we where last season we have lost a lot of championship know how and only 1 of our signings has any championship experienceΒ

All the players signed were cheap buys going off championship standards...3 of the players signed relegated with their respective clubs , 1 of them even deemed not good enough for the relegated side as he was shipped out on loan to St Mirren.

Β

You would have to have 100% blind faith in the recruitment team to think we are stronger now than we were last season...and we all know more departures are likely.Β

Uwe's son, represented England at youth levels so you'd have to hope he doesn't need clearance...

Surely that's the whole point of a message board, to give your opinion?

I know that as with every window you seem to be trying to quell unrest about the transfer activity for some reason but objectively this time round we've lost a load of players with Championship experience and replaced them with a load of players without any Championship experience therefore it is hardly surprising most people will assume we're a lot weaker.

Even if I'm probably in the half-full camp, I would agree that the loss of experience is a concern and we have a weaker squad for the first part of the season.Β

That said I was probably even more pessimistic last season. Losing Smodiczs, Wharton and Gallagher from a team that barely avoided relegation I couldn't see any quality or goals left. Expected a struggle and the team certainly overperformed.Β

The incoming was all over the place with a reported power struggle. In came some random foreign strikers, 2 old has-beens without legs with little playing time and winding down their Championship careers, a couple of loans and a Todd Cantwell with the potential to disrupt any harmony.Β

This summer has at least shown some resemblance of a transfer strategy bringing in people of a certain profile, before pre-season and quickly replacing Brittain.Β

Think the RΓΆsler links were from earlier in the window, before we signed McLoughlin but am open to correction if they have resurfacedΒ

Rosler is right footed I think, so it may be cover for Carter and also future replacement for Hyam seeing as we dont renew contracts

Its Cristiano Ronaldo, apparently he fancies moving back to the North West and reverting to being a wide player to finish off his career

Yeah and then Nixon wondering why we haven't progressed with that transfer...the costing a few quid will be his answerΒ

Agree fully that this time last yearΒ  it looked like a disaster waiting to happen as well but Eustace plaited sawdust with the resources he had at his disposal.

VI is going to need to do the same.

I just added a bit to my last reply, about Sunderland apparently converting Mayender after 18 months

Despite the name of that website, I think he’s wrong.

The regulation very clearly states the time period and when that time period starts from.

I’m perfectly happy to be the one who’s incorrect but I just can’t see how I can be misinterpreting the wording.

Hope not, if we aign him and midfielder number eight, wouldn't that leave us more or less at capacity as regards the 25 man squad?Β

All the following based on transfermarket (yes I know) and all subject to other factors (and I know others far more aware of such matters will correct me) πŸ™‚

In
Sidnei Tavares 23 –midfield –PortugalΒ  Β euros 2m
Lewis Miller 24 - right back –Hibs (Australian)Β  Β euros 860k
Dion de Neve 24-midfiled –euros 759k
Ryan Alebiousu 23 right back – euros 576k
Sean McLoughlin-28-centre back-Hull euros 575k

Euros 4.76

Out
Joe Rankin Costello 25 charltonΒ  euros 870k
Tyrhys Dolan 23 espanyol –free (wages saved)?
Andreas Weimann 33 derby free (wages saved)?
Danny Baath 34 derby free (wages saved)?
Callum brittain 27 Middlesborough ???
Jordan eastham 23Β  free (wages saved)?Β  Β Β
Cauley Woodrow end of loan (wages saved?)

Euros 870k without Brittan fee
So we would need euros 3.870m for him to make it evens.

If Henrikkson and Baradji are to come in, there have to be more outgoings for cash.
Trav, Pears, Buckley?

More players will be leaving before deadline.

Hyam set to sign a new contract 2 weeks ago and nothing since ...it will go the same way as Brittain. And Someone is bound to come in for TravisΒ

I assume you mean Rosler & Baradji?Β  If so, them I would think something like below would be te 25 they might be aiming for.Β  If they get something like that is maybe a different matter

Β

Toth NEW Barrett

Hyam McLoughlin Carter Wharton Rosler

Ribeiro Pickering

Miller Alebiosu

Tronstad Baradji Tavares ForshawΒ

Cantwell De Neve Kargbo Hedges Henriksson NEW

Ohashi Gueye NEW

Β

I cannot see beyond Travis being sold,

Hopefully extra competition being brought in (probably on loan) up top, wide and in goal

Assuming Leonard & Pratt are loaned out, Buckley & Pears sold/loaned, Garrett injured so doesn't need to be registered,

U21s (Montgomery/Tyjon etc) don't need to be registered
