Believe from where? given her profile says she is still there according to her profile

It's a linkedin profile that appears to have never been updated since it was created, barring one repost 3 years ago

https://www.linkedin.com/in/beverley-phillips-784b627b/?originalSubdomain=uk

Can't really use that as cast iron guarantee that someone is still doing what they were doing when they made a profile, if they seem to have never updated it in the first place

Itโ€™s wasnโ€™t contextualised it was downplayedย

a start for me is your first win - does the 3 points away to hull not count?

There's no use in us arguing semantics, I don't think saying Hull were dreadful is downplaying a result, you do. Fine.

That's why I said a real start. Of course the points count, let's not be silly. Two wins in a row and I would consider our season truly underway.

As a lowly supporter, and as I've grown older, I've started to worry less about what I can't control. I can't control who owns Rovers. I can't control who plays for us. I can't control who leaves, nor why they leave. I follow Rovers to enjoy football, and no matter what is going on around the club when it isn't match-day, I still thoroughly enjoy match days.

This will sound contradictory given that I'm sitting here bang in between two Rovers match days writing this, but I often wonder if I'm the only one who finds following Rovers much more enjoyable when I don't digest the drama off the pitch, true or otherwise, and stick primarily to match days and a few beers.

Iโ€™m sure there are many who share your views.

I guess there will be those who feel that a football club is part of the social fabric of a town/city but increasingly, given the gentrification of the game, football has become just another commodity to be consumed like a Big Mac without thinking too much.
.
As for control, well I wonder why clubs hire an army of voices to manufacture and massage public opinion. And why certain fan actions at many clubs around the world have caused change.

And of course there are plenty who just like โ€˜debatingโ€™ โ€“hence a lively messagboard.

We were excellent v Hull once we found a foothold in the game and settled down but lets not forget if it wasn't for Toth we'd have comfortably been a goal or two down.

Tbf they weren't saves you wouldnt expect any keeper to make. He does have a knack for making routine saves look showy. However assomeone who isn't a fan,. he's improved a lot since he first came in. He needed to.

Can someone please make up a transfer rumour?!

It's got to the point where people are trawling through LinkedIn profiles of Rovers employees.ย

I've been in companies with toxic cultures, with CEOs with God complexes, and been there during mass layoffs and when people have been forced out. It's not pleasant, but my advice has always been the same - keep your head down, keep your mouth shut, negotiate your best exit, and make yourself look professional throughout.ย

Like Travis you mean?

And unlike Ismael who slung mud publicly at Travis without specifying what it was about?

As for the lady who's left Rovers, why is everyone on their high horse about what's let's face it is a fairly mild comment from her? Nearly everyone on here says far worse than that about the regime every day.

I doubt anyone on here knows what's gone on between her and the Club but rightly or wrongly they've binned her off after 20 years so it ร—would be hardly surprising if she's got the hump. Why should she have any loyalty to the Club now? And if she's nearing retirement age she may not be able to get another similar role or need to worry about what prospective future employers think of her social media activity.

In general we can't keep hold of staff and the senior players were allegedly appalled by the way this lady was treated. Add to the Head Coach unnecessarily bad mouthing Travis in Public and it's a sheer lack of decency and professionalism at Club level as always.l

Double swoop for out of favour Everton players..

Asmir Begovic

Position: Goalkeeper
Age: 37
2024/25 appearances: 0

Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Position: Striker
Age: 28
2024/25 appearances: 26

Oh, and we are sniffing around the stinking pile of shithousery called Danny Ings, from West Ham too..

ย

But seriously, there are some excellent goalkeepers available from the top flight...

Ings signed for Sheff Utd

That's the spirit - let's talk about players who might come in, rather than this awful navel-gazing about those who have gone..

As I said, there are some very experienced goalkeepers without clubs, from the top flight. We could benefit from some experience and calm heads / steady hands as back up.

No doubt Mr Fruity and Bad Tempered Shadow-Boy are hard at work plotting some unexpected coup in the striking and goalkeeping departments... Not long now till we find out..

Tick Tock!

Regarding the first point, I don't think there was any mud slinging. He was open and honest about a situation.ย

Regarding the second, it's one of a series of comments, and it's unprofessional.ย

Doesn't matter what has gone on. That's between her, the club, and, if necessary, her lawyer. She's doing herself absolutely no favours speaking out it in public. She is seemingly looking for a new job and she is making herself look like a child.ย

Rovers are more attractive than Qarabag but money talks.

I really hope Idah joins Swansea, terrible player.

To be fair though it did state that he wants to play in England.ย

I think Rovers has been an easy team to play for for too long. Flatter to deceive, gallant losers. This isn't a vindication of what we've done, but something had to change.ย
