If we've started picking up points and beat Derby, I'll hold my hand up and say I was wrong, it's not complicated.

Good, look forward to it

However, if we consider that I think most of us would have said Derby's squad last season was worse than ours, and they have taken a significant portion of our squad and added to it whilst we've cut the budget on ours dramatically, you'd be hard pressed to argue we've had the better window. If either of the squads is likely to gel and kick on in the next 2 weeks I wouldn't be putting money on Rovers.

Derby need overhaul to shape that squad into Eustace type squad. I don't know why he is playing 3 at the back tbh or sign a lack of wingers given that 12 months ago he started he was big fan of wingers.

Rovers under Ismael has he said have overhaul the squad more than he wanted cos of Travis and Brittain leaving cos contract situation. We have several overseas signings which will need time to settle in and learn the league hence Ismael suggestion this season will be transition one

Why would they? They’ll love this, whole game throwing abuse at a man who did fairly good things here who left because he didn’t believe in the direction of the club while them 2 sit in the stands laughing their heads off

It is those two scum bags and the owners, who should be the target !

Not just against Derby but  every single game we play , home or away !

No not to my point. There is 7 ex Rovers there now. That my point, 6 of them signed there for Eustace.

So ........what?

Why does it matter?

Ok.

Alan Nixon

I hope he is right but its in his best interests to get stories through transfer links.

Lets see but I fear we are done especially after what Ismael said.

FWIW, Eustace abandoned us mid season for relegation candidates.

He probably sought assurances on contracts for himself and the key players and instead was told about the "plan" for this summer.

Do you blame him for leaving under those circumstances?

Unplayable against West Brom last year. I've haven't seen Yuki look unplayable in almost a year....... or ever.

Bristol City at home.
Gueye has done it in one match and looked like a raffle ticket winner outside of that. Whereas Yuki has found the net a few times for us (which considering the dross behind him is pretty compelling)

It's worth pointing out because it's abnormal.

It's far from abnormal for managers to sign former players they like and trust, maybe the numbers are a bit unusual.

The connection to Nyambe and Brereton is entirely coincidental as they never played under Eustace.

After that you've got  four players who were only here for either one season or half a season and then Travis who is the only one I can understand people being annoyed at Derby for but again that's basically our fault for not putting a realistic deal in front of him at any point.

Probably would be more use to the squad than Wharton (eyes behind my fingers very time) or sick note Carter.

But this is the whole point of loans to lower leagues - get the experience then make the step up (but he’ll probably leave on a free or knock down price instead with our lot)

Carter like Buckley seems to have absolutely fallen off a cliff after being given a long term deal by Broughton.

Whilst both seem to have backfired,  it's about the only thing Id give Broughton any credit for, it seemed a good idea to tie both down at the time.

Didn’t he also sign Brittain, Szmodics and Tronstad? (albeit you hate the latter) - granted he signed some tosh as well but at least a few hits

Had this exact thought all day. Could get ugly.

Irony being most in Ewood would aim their anger at Eustace, Travis and co. Rather than those sat just above Jack Walkers old seat.

Nixon doesn't sound confident that we will be signing anymore players?

Its deadline day/48 hours before the window closes, anything can happened as we witness in football.

Hes also got a lot wrong this window. Including Alan Browne, Armstrong, Smit, Afolayan, Gassama and Pye.

No I dont think that, stop being patronising. But it doesnt mean that all of his stories are accurate.

Take Browne. Ismael was unaware of any interest whatsoever.

Take Smit. The Go Ahead Eagles journalist said the club had heard of no interest.

Take Afolayan. And probably Gassama. We clearly were waiting on Morishita all summer.

He literally said yesterday rovers were interest in Browne and Val said we aren’t not sure what more proof is required there

The derby obsession stuff is extremely strange. They don’t care about us but because they took our manager and Eustace wanted to sign players who did well for him it’s a massive rival now. Tinpot and makes us look an odd bunch. I would prefer the spotlight to be on the owners + Suhail.

Fully agree on this, personally couldn’t give a shiny shite about Derby. A lad in one of the group chats I am in said it was a dilemma the other night on whether he wanted Burnley or Derby to lose I mean wtf? Burnley to lose every game they play at every level regardless of opponent, it’s that simple. Eustace has been well backed for what it’s worth, he really needs to achieve now or he will come under pressure. I do however believe a fair few of the players signed are average, I’d much prefer their current attacking options to ours though unless Gudjohnsen ends up like his old man.

well clearly you do.

Football clubs will have alot of players they look at and scout who are interest until we scouted them

Ismael said actually he hasn't spoken to the player personally. Like I said yesterday, it could be case Gestede spoke to his agent and Sunderland but the deal isn't what we want.

Ismael wanted Morishita all summer but has he said they did look at other options all summer.

It it was us (if we are honest) we’d love it, Eustace has exploited them and took a good player and signed players who have done well for him.

If we raided Watford and took players who did well for Ismael would they call him a snake and bring inflatable snakes to ewood?
