What was the ST Prices this season? Looks like Rohl will leave after tomorrow game with 3 possible destinations for him. What was the reasons behind the failing to pay the players on time? Quote

superniko Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Is it only me who thinks that needing to sell 23k at £150 to hit target makes no mathematical sense? Didn’t we only sell 4k adult STs this season? If the proportion of Adult vs Concessions remain the same then we’d need nowhere near that many to match revenues. 1 Quote

I don’t think you’re on your own. What’s done it for me is, if we don’t go up, the squad’s going to be probably decimated. The thought of paying £400 to watch a self-inflicted relegation battle, all whilst those 3 plonkers above tell us that we should be grateful for the investment, has put me off. Gestede’s interviews have pushed me away too, with his arrogance. If we did go up, they’d probably open up the Blackburn End upper tier, which I’d like to move back to anyway. Who says it will relegation battle next season? Nearly everyone thought that this year and look at what actually happened 1 Quote

Iv'e pointed this out before and it's where their argument breaks down, badly. There is no one telling me that 4k wouldn't double at £150 so they've automatically covered it straight away and not only that many of those taking it up would then add a child or two as well. They won't though because their business model is based on c9k ST's and over the course of a season an ave of c4k paying match by match full price in home sections. That guarantees a certain income level that guarantees their wages, it's too comfortable they won't gamble and increase the hassle and match day costs, they will not manage upwards it's a complete status quo at Ewood. Saying stuff like oh suchabody only increased their income level by a couple of % from doing cheaper tickets is such a cop out it;s embarrassing. These same people then constantly talk about 'marginal gains' on the pitch and league position. They spin it so the real point INCREASING CROWDS is totally lost it's all about a few quid here and there again, something that can be easily absorbed by 40 mill of sales and less than 10% re-investment, increased tv money and yes billionaire owners, whats an extra million to them to help fill up the ground ? 1 Quote
Mattyblue Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Exactly, hit your revenue target in the most risk free way is their approach. Why would Swaghail risk missing their target/bonuses for the sake of a few thousand extra bums on seats (for the good of the team, the atmosphere, the future health of the fanbase? Nah, we’ll stick to the 9k if it’s all the same)? Quote

No, we have billionaire owners allegedly in charge and who could have easily afforded to send £20m over prior to the January transfer window. In the 1970s, we were a relatively well run club with local businessmen at the helm. Whilst they did their best, they operated on a shoestring budget and, at times, we could barely pay the milk bill. This is not the 1970s. Our billionaire owners are not interested. Had they been, with relatively little investment on their part, they could be well on their way to recouping a large part of their own money that they have already wasted. They need to f*** right off. 3 Quote

Mattyblue Posted 31 minutes ago Posted 31 minutes ago ‘Decent season that in the end, you know what I will renew’… No you can’t, now off sale - and you’ll be charged an extra fifty quid when we do get round to putting them back on sale. ‘err, nah’ Quote
