Herbie6590 Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 They could do a lot worse than issue a communication saying next season it’s two kits only & instead of a third shirt, have a really great walkout/anthem jacket on sale in home & away colours. Folks who don’t buy shirts then have something to buy, folks who do can buy a jacket as well… 1 Quote
cheese Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 Was certainly surprised at Middlesbrough that we were in the gold away kit, think we always wear blue and white up there. In fact, have we worn our famous blue and white halves away from home at all this season? Quote
aletheia Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 (edited) Sorry, not read through the early posts here but could anyone give me a link to evidence that the shirt with the maltese cross formed part of our very earliest history? I can see reports of it being 'proposed' at a meeting but no visual evidence and no primary source. Edited December 30, 2025 by aletheia Quote

Though I suppose considering even the 150th shirt isn’t even the iconic blue and white, then it figures as this regime have absolutely no feel or interest for this grand old club and it’s heritage. 1 Quote
Popular Post OnionBalaji Posted December 30, 2025 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2025 The 150th could have been such a great season of celebration, brilliant items that could be sold in the Roverstore & a slam dunk for the commercial department. I went into the shop on Dec 23rd (the only Monday it was open all year - another commercial faux pas) and was astounded how poor most of the non kit items are. A lot of pound shop style tat items with Rovers badges slapped on and a hefty mark up. It all feels a bit shit and a bit half arsed and sums up the club and this 151st anniversary to a tee. Grubby, late to the party, half arsed, no thought or strategy and sure as shit no pride 10 Quote

RevidgeBlue Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 Wonder why we didn't bother with fictional white shirts on our Centenary 50 years ago? There must have been people still living then who had grand-parents or who when they were young knew of people who were about at the time? Quote

rigger Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 When the players come out in the white kit, they should be greeted with a chorus of "What the fucking hell is that" Quote
