Buckley annoys me no end - gets back to cover a counter attack. Ball falls to him when facing goal and he thinks the best decision is to dink it, head high, to whoever was at LB (Montgomery maybe?).

Brain dead.

Tyjon reminds me so much of Dack. The positions he picks the ball up, the half turn to drive forward. Finds those holes better than Cantwell. Topped it off with a great run in the box to finish a move similar to Dacky. Lad is a serious talent and on last two outings he looks hungry and could well be the replacement for our 10. If your good enough your old enough. For his age the lad looks like he has game intelligence

Buckley has always annoyed me but ever since he threw that ball at that Boro(?) player and got sent off I've wanted to see him gone

Pretty much every booking he gets, which is almost every time he plays, is fucking stupidity/childishness. He's one of the weirdest platers I've ever known. There's definitely some talent there but he comes across like he simply cannot be arsed, its like his dad forced him to play football or something?!?

Am I the only one who thinks Montgomery looks like a decent player?

Happy for him to stick around as 5th choice CM and 3rd choice RB. He's athletic at least.

Christ why is this site so toxic, it's relentless. FFS I thought it was in support of Rovers, doesn't seem to be at all.

I think Facebook might be more your speed, mate.

Some clean handling from Toth.

McLoughlin - Joe Average, lack of communication for goal.

Hedges and De Neve too quiet - need to contribute far more.

Ohashi - two very well taken goals.

Three points stood out for me in 2nd half:

  • Cantwell continued his endeavours from 1st half and looked 'at it' - far hungrier than we saw him last season
  • Tyjon clearly has a football intelligence to go with his ability and if we manage to keep him, will make a big contribution this coming season
  • If/when  Brittain goes, we will need a replacement right back.  Think Alebioso looked raw and clumsy

I thought Alebiosu looked incredibly athletic and would pose different problems for the opposition to Brittain. Clearly far bigger, faster and aggressive in defence (tried to nip in front of his man for the ball a few times).

For anyone who watched, can I get a match rating for some of the players

Hopefully the goals are put online too

It's very difficult to give match ratings - we were far better than Qatar SC, especially when the subs were made.

Nobody had a bad game, nobody really looked out of place (I still don't think Mullarkey-Matthews has much going on, but he's very young). Tyjon continues to impress in the #10 role.

M&M is going to be a player. Pity we aren't blessed with patience  as a club.

Perhaps - he's miles off this standard at the moment though.

I gather he's RB? Which explains why he looks a bit lost playing on the wing.
