The Venky Don't Care

The Venkys don't care. The really don't. They don't know how we're doing. They don't care if we get relegated. They don't care if you do or don't go on the games. They don't care who's in charge of the club on a day to day basis. They haven't provided instructions to the management on how the club is run as that would require them to care, but as I mentioned before they don't. They don't care if we sell our best players and replace them with cheaper players, they really don't.

All they care about is the massive black hole they have on their balance sheet because they happened to buy an old English football team. A black hole which has been funded by debt and grants provided by the Indian government (and others). To this date they haven't realised that debt, there is no sunk cost fallacy. At the moment, they haven't lost anything, but if they sold they'd need to book a huge loss in their accounts. This is a problem.

The thing is that the debt isn't on the club. If the Venkys sold up, the black hole wouldn't fall on "us" due to the equity set up (there are smaller debts,  e.g. from HMRC, we do need to be concerned about but we can ignore them for now).

If you chant against the regime at home games, it doesn't matter because they aren't listening. If you protest before the game, it doesn't matter because they aren't watching. If you throw a chicken on the pitch, it's done on deaf ears because, well, we're just an asset.

The only way you can impact change is by one of the following:

1. Help get them promoted to the prem so that we are worth more than the black hole and we can be sold.

2. Get the debt in Indian forgiven so the owners will sell.

3. Make the situation so fucking embarrassing for the Venkys IN INDIA that they will stomach a huge loss on their balance sheet. This means going to India and doing things.

So, what are you going to do? And I won't accept hiding from the problem by not attending the games or shouting Venkys out into a vacuum.

Venky’s were “badly advised” to buy the club by Suhail Pasha.

Venky’s were “badly advised” to go into partnership with a certain agency, by Suhail Pasha.

The agency recommended by Suhail Pasha then “badly advised” Venky’s to sack competent people, employ incompetent ones, and decimate our squad.

They eventually took said agency to court, but allowed former employees of that agency to install Owen Coyle, Paul Lambert, and Tony Mowbray. Without said agency advising, they decided that Suhail Pasha could come back and do the advising instead!

His most recent advice to them has been to tell them that all the crowd unrest was due to Steve Waggott, it was Waggott the fans didn’t like, not them. And all the fans were really pleased that he’d employed a club legend like Rudy Gestede - who could run the footballing side of things way better than Broughton or Waggott.

His latest advice, which will no doubt turn out to be bad, is that they can cut costs to the extent that Venky’s won’t ever need to put another penny in to Rovers sooner rather than later.

There is one man more culpable than any other for the state we find ourselves in today. More so than Steve Kean or Jerome Anderson. And he is still here being allowed to make catastrophic decisions.

Removing this absolute scourge has to be the priority.

I've howled about my suspicions on this blokes involvement for years he is the undeniable constant besides them themselves and hes now helped wreck a side that was knocking on the door of the play offs.

He's also managed to go through a manager, 2 head coaches, multiple backroom staff, a DoF and now a CEO in a matter of a few years but they were all the problem, not him.

I'm so glad it's all finally coming to light he's the real power broker and BRFC and alongside the actual ownership he is the real problem.

This guy is a big problem no doubt, and there are dots being joined about his involvement and agenda, but it all starts and ends with Venkys.

No more of this that they are fine in the background but are being misled/taken advantage of/will learn from mistakes. They are poison as much or more than those they employ to do their dirty work.

They will only leave when they have to. Hopefully - long shot - their legal issues and restrictions eventually break them or their business collapses into dust and then we are freed from their occupation but I'm not confident of that. It may be a waiting game and may take many years for the evil four to give up or for control of their business to pass to others. Hopefully then there's a change. It might take decades but so be it. This club will never achieve its potential or grow/improve under their occupation.

Is his removal imminent and will the poisonous Gestede go with him, if he goes?

Its becoming, critical now and the damage will be irreversible, if it carries on much longer.

So sick of hearing about how badly advised they've been. 

Numerous people have tried numerous times to give them sound advice yet for some reason they always seem to follow the bad advice they've been given. Almost as though they've done so deliberately. 

Regarding Suhail, as someone said in another thread, you need to kill the guards before you storm the castle.

15 years is too long now. Soon to be a 16 year tenure. Do the right thing and sell up now. People would probably have more respect (though it's long diminished by now) if they held their hands up, publicly apologised....give out free season tickets on their last year, then leave

If Suhail goes, what happens? Do we get a similar (useless) replacement? Does it hasten the exit of the Raos? Do the shady agents (allegedly) still remain?

Going up was mentioned (as a way to generate money to allow an exit.) Does going down offer similar options?

I’d take useless over arrogant, vindictive, self serving, incompetent and deliberately sabotaging.
