Went blues bar afterwards... Some woman went round every TV and turned off sky sports news to BBC1... When quizzed she said to take it up with the club because she'd been instructed to and worked for sedexo or something.

Fucks all that about?

Trying to force people to upgrade and just leave the Blues Bar for the peasants.

About time it was boycotted.

The most frustrating thing about Gueye is he has all the attributes and opportunity to be a successful footballer but for whatever reason (effort? commitment? desire? intelligence?) is going to let the opportunity pass. He should be doing extra hours drilling every week - even if that means paying Danny Graham or Jordan Rhodes out of his own pocket. He’s certainly paid enough to do so.

He can't really strike a ball properly 85% of the time, which is going to limit anyone playing as a striker.

Why does anybody have to get angry? I'm certainly not. The defeats hurt, but I can accept that the club is in a transitional state. It certainly sounds like the Travis situation was dropped on us very quickly, and these players will need time to gel. Surely that's not an unreasonable point of view.

My only issue with this is it’s entirely the club’s fault (by not sorting out contracts sooner) that we’re in a transitional state.

We finished seventh last season, any half functioning club would have been pushing to strengthen in a bid to reach the play offs.

That being said, none of this is the new players fault so I agree they need time to show whether they’re good enough.

The concern however would be, if they aren’t of sufficient standard, I wouldn’t trust our lot to resolve the situation in January (given the past few winter windows).

That tells me more about people than results.

A quick look on the childish nature of social media and grown men throwing tantrums, supposedly mature administrators as guardians of this very site calling players thick, and all the other rubbish that emerges after a defeat, tells me there is no patience in football these days. I'm not as much done with the game as I am with certain so-called Rovers "supporters", and I have zero problems calling them out or copping a ban for it. It's pathetic, and the team and manager deserve some time.

They've had almost 15 years!

However, I feel confident from what I've seen so far, that this squad is capable of more than holding its own against most teams in the Championship.

That is one hell of an outlandish statement to make Parsonblue!

Just got back.  Piss poor performance.  Lowlights today:

Tavares - said it since the first time I saw him and he’s done nothing to change my opinion - far too laid back and casual.  Every pass is 5 yards too short or too far.  Anyone who thinks he’s an upgrade on Travis needs to give their head a wobble.  Says everything about him that we were better when he wasn’t in the pitch.

Kargbo - had an absolute stinker today.  Shouldn’t be starting games IMO but our squad has been weakened so much this is where we are.  Maybe useful as an off the bench option but other than that clueless.  Can run fast and that’s about it.

Ribeiro - total shocker of a game, way below his usual standards.  Needs a rocket up his arse.

McLoughlin - nailed on foul, pen and red card.  Brainless decision to do what he did.

Gueye - loveable but thick as fuck. Needs to be spend the next weeks learning what offside is and how to avoid being it.

Everyone else was bang average as well.  Where was the pressing, fight and energy from the Hull game?  We reverted back to the shite performances of the WBA and Brum games.

Only person to come out of that with any credit was Alebiosu.

It’s gonna be a long hard season folks.  You don’t lose all that Championship experience and replace it with cheapo foreigners without it having a negative impact, and this is being borne out right in front of us.

Ribeiro seems to of gotten away with it reading some responses...Probably his worst performance, I'd be surprised if his pass completion was above 40%.

And in any event why should we be happy to "hold our own against most teams in the division?"

Sky sports was on when I was in there. Went straight in after game got home 30 mins ago

It was on then they switched it over with a room full of people because they were told to do so.

How are we reconciling Gueye's 1 in 3 record against Arnor's 1 in 6 in the Belgian league

Especially when Arnor plays for Gent, who are in the top 6 every season and dish out some real pastings…..

Because if you don't hold your own against most teams in the division you tend to get relegated.

It's what I feel after seeing all the games thus far. I may be wrong, but at the moment I feel we are team in transition and I think there are some promising signs from what I've seen.  A goalscorer is still needed but hopefully they can find someone over the next 48 hours.

The way you phrased it sounded like we should be happy to scrape a draw or not be heavily beaten by most teams in the division.

How peevish can you get when you COULD show it but you're limiting consumption to those who have been fleeced £15 per head for it in Jack's Kitchen?

You can see the logic in one way as if you'd paid extra you'd be fuming if people were watching it for free in Blue's but I just find the whole thing Absolutely disgusting.

I’d be genuinely surprised if Tavares has made a single tackle in a Rovers shirt.

Not sure if you can call it a tackle but he definitely stuck out an inviting leg for the big club penalty !

True, on reflection maybe it is best he doesn’t tackle then. First half was reminiscent of big club second goal where he ran alongside doing absolutely nothing to halt anyone’s progress

Yep, after his corner started the counter attack, he legged it back to get alongside Gray and then made no effort at all to stop the cross.

How long its takes this side to transition to one that is consistently capable of winning games is going to be crucial...early days maybe but the longer we stay near the bottom of this Division the harder it becomes.

Jury still out on this Manager for me,just cant warm to the bloke.

I like overseas so I don't have to suffer as regularly as the rest of you. I have been here for the Bradford, Birmingham and Norwich games and I haven't seen Rovers win in years. Everytime I visit Ewood I leave with the taunts and celebrations of visiting fans ringing in my ears. Today might have been the final straw. That first half performance was a fucking disgrace and there was no coming back from it. If thats what these nomarks produce after at least 5 days on the training ground then I despair. If that's what 5 days of coaching produces then Ismael is stealing a living. As for Kargbo, for a professional not to score in that position he should consider his future. I so admire my mates for going to Ewood week in, week out to be subjected to that shite because I'm sure as fuck that I wouldn't.
