So we've already reduced the wage bill down this summer but it seems that wasn't enough, they are still looking at shipping players out and replacing them with cheaper alternatives to bring it down futher. We must have the lowest wage bill in the league. Quote
London blue Posted Monday at 11:09 Posted Monday at 11:09 So we're hoping for a player to make an impact on the first team, and assuming this player will demand a lower salary than that fucking lump. Jesus wept. Quote

In fairness, I mean if the decision to stop showing Rovers "for free" in Blues Bar but still allow it in other areas of the ground you have to pay a fortune to get into didnt tell you that......... RevidgeBlue Posted Monday at 11:21 Posted Monday at 11:21 (edited) The most worrying thing about it is that whilst Gallagher was on a fair old wedge totally out of kilter with his ability, Gueye must be on a fraction of that already. So any attempt to cut down on that even further doesn't inspire confidence that anyone who can make a positive difference will be brought in. Edited Monday at 11:22 by RevidgeBlue 2 Quote

Sheff Wed will be the lowest by some distance, they were capped at £7K/week during the summer, and lost the majority of their squad on top of that Then you will have Oxford, Charlton & Portsmouth, we are probably ahead of those for now (as they will still have a fair few in their squads who wont have had much uptake in wages since their respective promotions), at least until the next round of cuts (eg Cantwell) Edited Monday at 11:26 by KentExile 1 Quote
pick32 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Gueye out and August Priske in please plus a quick winger Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago i doubt if makhters wages are anything to do with it,more the fact he`s turned completely shite this season and looks well out of shape Quote
chaddyrovers Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago Deffo need a striker and right wing back in January Quote
davulsukur Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Baradji at least, looked good when he came on. If he carries on like that, should be a useful player. 3 Quote

philipl Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Ismael offering to relay the pitch rather than buy a player tells me there is zero budget for January transfers. 1 Quote

What sort of comment is that? I just give up with your with these sort of comments and you couldn't even answer again the most basic of questions. Edited 2 hours ago by chaddyrovers Quote
wilsdenrover Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago @roversfan99 never said 8 signings were realistic, he said that’s how many he thinks we need. That isn’t a difficult concept to understand, unless you don’t want to of course. 1 Quote

roversfan99 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago And I never said it was realistic. And I know that it wont happen. Its just roughly how light I think the squad is. I have no doubt that even come February that the squad will be nowhere near how we need it to be. Quote

So how many signings in January is realistic is what my original question was which you didn't answer? If it wasn't realistic when you factor in that some signings have only been here less 6 months. MGP took 6 months to get going and his first real impact from memory was Cardiff away in FA cup in January Quote

Under this regime, probably none, maybe at a push one or two. But we should try to fix as many of those glaring holes as we possibly can. Lets hope that Henriksson, De Neve, Tavares etc are actually not absolutely terrible but in fact turn out to be brilliant for us. Dont hold your breath on that though. Quote
