As for Mowbray and his mate Venus, personally wouldn't touch them with a sh1tty stick. How much did these two know about Waggot's plan to flog part of Brockhall and downsize our wonderful facility there? IMO, Mowbray is selfish and in it for what he can get and he is not the affable 'uncle' type character he likes to portray. Failed to save us from relegation, got us back up on by far and away League 1's biggest budget and then trod water for 4 years, allegedly turning down an offer from City to take Liam Delap on loan in a Jan. window when we had a great chance of play-offs. No thanks. Edited 5 hours ago by Mercer 7 Quote

The club at least before these dickheads bought us wouldnt have conducted ourselves in such a way. If we tell players that they likely wont be registered if they stay, and they choose to stay on their contracts as they are entitled to do. At least we have treated them properly. 1 Quote
davulsukur Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago A few journo's (Pete O'Rourke being one), are claiming that Wrexham are offering "up to" £19m for Sidiki Cherif of Angers. I assume that £19m would be heavily based around promotion to the PL but it shows how far behind we are, even against clubs like Wrexham, in both ambition and finances. 1 1 Quote

Agreed the overall point I’m making is the 26 registered players shouldn’t be an issue it’s extremely clear who is cut out and who isn’t ready for championship football. However Rudy won’t see it that way Quote

No doubting we are miles and miles behind but if that is true and happens it’s absolutely bonkers and could be boom or bust not to mention his age and profile and how big a gamble it is - like the player in question isn’t some sort of superstar Quote

Worth mentioning they are battling Palace for this signature as they're selling Mateta. That's not "normal" champ ambition, it's Disney+ eyes revenue from Hollywood FC. 1 Quote
Browjd Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago One day, we will have a Netflix documentary. Venkys will be gone, fans will be back, our new owners will be ambitious and it will be the rebirth of Rovers... 2 Quote

We could only hope for a fraction of that excitement, engagement and ambition from our hierarchy. We'll be playing Ismael Ball against Bromley - at least when we play at their place we can enjoy a new pitch. Edited 3 hours ago by CD_93 Quote
Polky Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I wonder if Stoke would fancy Pears? I’m sure master negotiator, Rudy Gestede can get a good deal. Johansson ruled out for months, signed Bazunu on loan and he’s been ruled out for six weeks 🫣 Quote

cesus Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago As much as I don't rate Pears, history is telling us the replacement will be even worse! 2 Quote

This is a real shocker though. Failed spectacularly to fill the gaps we have - A defender we didn't need who is rubbish. A winger/striker with no Championship experience, who in fairness looks decent so far. Assume that is our lot for this latest round of 'significant investment'. I am intrigued who will get the Siggy treatment at the end of the month (currently a 26 man/child squad). Dec Neve gets my vote. He's less effective than Powell. Quote

If the previous widow is anything to go by, they are more likely to offload one or more of Alebiosu, Toth, Tronstad or Cantwell in the final minutes of the window without a replacement & voila, plenty of room in tie squad Edited 1 hour ago by KentExile 2 Quote
Torgeir Posted 20 minutes ago Posted 20 minutes ago Pears? Why are you trying to sell our players? Need him as backup. Quote
