Cadamarteris goal scoring record is very poor, I don’t see how he’s going to shoot us to safety when he has 2 in 29 this season. 
 

I really hope this is along with another striker but I think we all know that’s not the case .

To be fair, Nixon reckons we're putting in a bid for Danny Cardamarteri. 

Should be able to meet the valuation on him. I'm not against it, even though his goalscoring record is quite bad, and I would much prefer it if we went back for Yakubu.

There is no positive to any of this but I’m clinging to the fact that the whole world will now see how much a fraud Rudy gestede is. I’d even go as far and say the normal post window interview won’t happen. He will shy away from it as he fully knows he has messed up

I genuinely don’t think he’d ever be that self reflective. He exudes unfaltering arrogance and I’m sure in his mind he’ll be giving himself a hearty pat on the back for a job well done

Normally I’d agree but he can’t hide what’s in plain sight. We came 7th last year so he was able to use the weight of that in the summer. If he was to be interviewed now I’m not sure even he could worm his way out of it. But that would take courage from the interviewer and unfortunately we don’t have many of those

Let's see how he performs first before passing judgment. Not my first choice either but proven strikers are a rare commodity these days.

Some here have mentioned that we should've been all over Makama in the summer, after he went to Norwich for £1.3m. Easy to say in hindsight, he wasn't highly prolific in League One and Cadamarteri at least has 50 Championship games under his belt at 20 and has shown a bit of promise.

I am sure that people will pass judgement if (big if) and when he does sign. 

But its fair to be underwhelmed at a potential striker who has not shown that he is what we need to boost our inability to score goals.

Summer transfers and January transfers are different

if we signed Cadamarteri in the summer following Leonard’s move to Peterborough then fine. Gives him time to settle

Signing him in January once again is a massive gamble given our need. Having championship games under your belt is one thing being able to deliver in the position is another. Granted he’s in an awful team but we aren’t much better 

personally think it’s a poor signing (if it where to happen) was mentioned in dec so clearly wasn’t near the top of the target list

Mike McGrath (no idea on his reliability) is reporting that Derby are trying to get a deal done to bring Sammie Szmodics to Pride Park.

Genuinely fed up of this whole thing now, anyone else going between games without a care about football anymore? Why us? Why can't we just have a normal influx like for like if not marginally better players at the least.

You'd be wasting your money. He was very poor last time he came to us on loan, and that was 15 years ago.

Always felt Cadamateri would be the striker we'd end up signing (mentioned this a while back on this thread). 

I can see that one happening. Low fee, low wages, poor scoring record, and little interest in him elsewhere (aside from the Scottish lge).
