Is TGH going back to Brum in January ?

No he's on loan for the season, can't imagine they would want to recall him.

He also has one of those phantom buy clauses in the loan deal.

It would be a hell of a throw from the subs bench

It would still be straight to the opposition.

Never have i seen a so called offensive weapon be used so pointlessly.

got bullied Saturday didn't we. Men v boys. Experience v inexperience.
We struggle against direct physical teams. We struggle in both boxes for set pieces to when a teams got a couple powerful players. It was pretty obvious i felt how it was going to pan out. I see elliot jackson saying he felt we played the same formation with hedges as a left sided cb, i disagree, it didn't really look like that to me. To me it looked like a disjoineted 4 at the back to start with. Alebiousu galloping from right back all the way up to the opposite full back to close the ball down was never going to work. Gudjohnsen looked like he played as a floating winger\striker. Was neither in any of those positions was practically anonymous all game. Didnt look like our normal formation that had won 3 games ina row until the 2nd half, first half looked to me as a 4 at the back.

Yuki really needs top work on his touch and hold up play, practically gave the ball away at every chance he got. The team all seemed rather unbalanced. Not one player on our pitch competed with anything in the air at both ends. I think it took till around 70th minute for us to win a header of any note. I for the life of me will never understand our consistent use of long throws in every game when we haven't a player capable of winning a header. Then we bring gueye on and he doesnt even stand in a position to try and win the first phase of the long throw, Morris just kept heading it all away. Just seemed like a team not having to do too much to get the job done and knew what was needed to win against a side lacking with any know how.

Really need an ugly cb and Striker dont we to just help us in these types of games. Cant see us beating preston or wrexham in our next batch, we get bullied in both of those imo. Cant see more than 4 points from next 4 games, and id say that puts us right back in the relegation picture.

Monday rant done.

Agree with Yukis touch but can't help but think there were alot of balls cannoned at the mid riffs not easy to control under pressure so as well as touch control somebetter passing to feet. Why they kept attempting an ariel assault is beyond me it was clear after 30 mins it wasn't working but when we played to feet we had more a tempo and chance. (Slim as they were)

does anyone have the line up for rovers versus etonians? There was a fella on the pitch and I don't have a clue who he was? Cheers

Edit - worked it out now, it was Gordon effing Greer! True Rovers legend.

They were clearly struggling to get a squad together. You do wonder how many turned it down.

He is probably the next one they are forcing out due to his wages.

A bruised ankle doesn't keep anyone out for 6 weeks.

Also, VI said he has had a "setback" after the game on Saturday and is less hopeful he is available for PNE unless he completes two full weeks training by then.

Something feels off about the whole thing.

High earners not being deemed fit to play seems to be a running theme here

I'm sure he'll make a rapid full recovery once he signs elsewhere

When Todd is sold on January 1st I will definitely hear “if you look at the Southampton, Leicester and Bristol game we are very competitive without Todd. I think we will be fine” from Valerien.

The latest little insights from the Ewood Express this time around:

More comments than usual of: "They're soooooo bad!". What is the point of trying to attract fans if they watch us play rubbish? Of course they won't give up the glory hunting if watching that dross is the alternative.

The legends game afterwards was actually more entertaining for them. They couldn't distinguish current Rovers players from old ones as they had never heard of any of them (several asked me if Shearer would play as they know him from TV) so they enjoyed seeing us create and score more.

The 45 minute wait between games was taking the piss for primary school children after getting bored in the first game.

THE BIG ONE in terms of a shambles: No running water i.e. no flushing toilets or running taps for hundreds of little germ factories. The club couldn't even provide basic sanitation in our own stadium. Ludicrous...

Isn't that a breach of health and safety legislation?

Surely someone on here has some good understanding of this stuff.

Hmm, might have been more prudent to call it a Classic Rovers XI or something. Not as marketable but closer to the truth. I mean, granted, who could forget Gordon Greer helping to steer us into League 1 in his only season at the club? Fond memories of a true club legend there. Kilgallon's average of 20 games a season as we slowly got worse in each of his three seasons here, definitely the stuff of legend. Tommy Spurr's classic 6 or 7/10 steady performances every match, unforgettable.

I appreciate it would be impossible to get a "legend" in every position, but that's arguably not even 50% overall that would come close to the basic definition.
