Are we boycotting the match thread too?

I made it necessarily short, thinking that might be a very good option. I didn’t wanna waste a lot of words on this one.

Rovers 1 - 2 Watford. Jorgensen again for Rovers.

Based on Ismael's comments, Alebiosu wont be starting, so I'm expecting TGH to continue out there. Grim.

I would revert to a back 4 for this with either Pickering or Ribeiro coming in, with Powell on the left flank, Jorgensen on the right and Baradji in the CAM position to support Ohashi. Tronstad and Forshaw as a pairing in the middle.

Rover 0-3 Watford

Men against boys in the Ewood Park morgue. Ismael sat at the side without a clue having already given up on the game not giving the slightest damn and leaving the squad out to dry.

On the plus side, if the Watford fans have any songs to sing about old Val, he'll be able to hear them loud and clear.

Val has basically told us that the current available team can't compete at this level (I agree with him, but it's probably not the most encouraging thing for the players to hear!). Seeing as the transfer window is open, the fact we are not desperately trying to bring a couple of players in who can play on Saturday suggests we are basically throwing this match and the next few until some players are back. Makes you wonder how bothered they are about whether we get relegated or not.

They're not bothered. End of.

It's crazy Ismael still thinks 5 at the back is working. Firstly we currently don't have the players available to play it and haven't had for some time. It should have stopped as soon as Alebiosu went to AFCON. We aren't winning any games playing it, and are hardly having any shots. It's completely laughable we haven't attempted any tactical change in any fixture either before or during, no changes in shape. He's one of the worst managers I've seen. We could have easily gone back to basics weeks ago, hardly any Championship teams play it, maybe Preston and Wrexham?

Absolutely right.

The manager says, we can't compete at the minute, so the players already have their excuses, as well as him. It is the injuries according to the manager and as we know, he has also stated we will be okay, when everyone is back, but just like all the other quotes (We have a more competitive team than last year etc) that doesn't hold up

If ever a managerial quote could be more ill timed, this is one, as we are now in the bottom 3 we have won 2 games at home all season, one in the last 13 we can't get shots on target, let alone score and we have the added bonus of a fans boycott, so anyone who was on the fence, may now give it a miss, given this quote.

The opposition will have taken note and will be all out to prove him right, so they will turn up extra fired up and ready to rub the uncompetitive, teams noses, into the dirt.

As an added bonus the bookmakers are aware of this too and Watford have gone from 7/4 to 6/4 and are favorites to beat us. That price is still crazy, as this will be a defeat by at least a 2 goal margin (4/1) and will ensure we remain firmly in the relegation places at 5.00pm.
