Anyone witness Dion De Neve dribble the ball out for a goal kick? He did the exact same at Swansea away!!!

Surely has to be one of the worst signing in championship history?

I think Baradji did it too. or somebody else only not quite so egregiously as he pointlessly tried a cross to cover up for his incompetence.

People saying nobody would keep this team up, Tony Mowbray is out of work and if they had an ounce of ambition to stay in this division they would bring him in immediately. The damage Gestede and Pasha have done is enormous but Mowbray would definitely make a better fist of it than this moron currently managing the team.

I don't think Mowbray could keep us up but someone could. In earlier years Neil Warnock or Big Sam might. Even Damien Johnson as caretaker could do better with the squad IMO.

But we know that Pasha/Gestede will not get shut of VI. That is a very depressing thought.

Really disappointing today, we huffed and puffed but didn’t look like we would have scored if we had played until next Christmas. I thought Cashin and O’Riordan played well but without some plan to score goals, we look doomed. The Manager has had a lot of issues to deal with, notably the fools running the club and the horrific injury list but let’s not forget that when he was appointed, we were sat in the play off places. The football is absolutely turgid, one win in 15 and just two wins at home this season, time to roll the dice but as we all know, he is a mere symptom and not the disease affecting our beloved club.

Like you said, we were in the play off places, when Ismael took over, we're now in the bottom 3, and you reckon Ismaels not to blame.

We've lost to many home games to stay up, let's face it were in league 1. Theres only one glimmer of hope, get rid of the worst manager Rovers have had, for a very very long time.

I think there are plenty of managers that can keep us up.  Valerian Ismael isn't one of them. Sickening to see how well backed he's been in the market when JDT and Eustace got a pittance.

He hasn't been backed at all.

Just used a portion of outgoing sales to replace them with inferior players.

If that is being backed then I bet Eustace and JDT are glad they didn't get this dross.

Club's dying before our Eyes and it appears no one within the corridors of Ewood can do/wants to do a thing about it.

Managed decline of this once proud and great Club. It's scandalous.

They are managing a decline whilst still losing money and lowering the value of the club.

It makes no sense at all.

Unpopular comment but part of me wanted Cantwell to be sent off so we can try something new in midfield for the next game. Even though Forshaw can only last an hour, I will play him as the number 10 role to orchestrate attacking play. Technically, hes still good, just age and fitness is catching up. His passes are so much better than Cantwell. And Baraji can partner him in the middle with Tronstad further back.

Yup im desperate.

You clearly misunderstand my post, I make the point that he has had a lot to contend with but that we were in the play offs when he arrived and that this time to make a change. Ismael has failed badly on the only metric that should matter, results on the pitch.

I'm not a fan. In my humble opinion the swagger is totally unjustified.  Would swap him for Rothwell all day every day without blinking.

Think you're right about Cantwell, but making him captain is maybe proving to be a problem.

He undoubtedly played when he wasn't fully fit, but playing unfit has seen a drop in performance. It would now mean  dropping not only the "most influential" player, but captain as well.

Now would be a good time to rest Cantwell and give the captaincy to Tronstad or Mclaughlin for the rest of the season, they're both going to play every game, giving Ismael more licence to rotate Cantwell.

Thought Forshaw was our best player first half.

I had a thought yesterday in the Riverside when De Neve ran out of play, I pay my hard earned money for this shit willingly.

I scoff like many other people at hobbies people have, but I think those blokes paying to be kicked in the bollocks makes more sense these days.

Said this a while ago the team is set up to carry Cantwell and it hasn't worked for ages he's a luxury player not a cog in a well drilled system.

And all this talk about Cantwell shows what a poor manager we've got. Not got the balls to drop him. An Alex Ferguson type wouldn't hesitate.

I don’t get it, I thought he was our best player yesterday. Not a high bar I know but he never stopped trying to make things happen. Some things came off, some didn’t.

what thing came off? Like passing a ball to a team mate?
