An appalling effort from both teams last night - both filled with senior players who clearly weren't interested. Nothing new in this. Everytime a second string game is filled with senior players you end up with a non-event - it's been the same for years. Both sides seemed to treat it as a behind closed doors friendly match, simply the opportunity to give senior squad players a run out without risking injury. I feel desperately sorry for the lads who normally play at Under-23 level and who had reached this stage with the prospect of a final next August. I can understand the need to give fringe players a game, and I suppose if the weather had been better a behind closed doors game could have been arranged at Brockhall, but this was a really poor effort from both teams.

I get the need to give some of these players game time but what about the younger players who got us to the semi-finals in the first place? This was an opportunity to win a relatively prestigious competition and some egotistical wasters don't show up. Hopefully it will give Mowbray the ammunition he needs to ship them out over the summer.

Didnt realise that you knew the players personalities so well and how best to motivate them based solely on their ages. I never said I dont rate him. And I said I was really happy that he got 2 goals recently and hope he continues. Antonsson when I complained about him was playing up front, and looked awful. It was at the start of the season, and Dack was sitting on the bench in the main at the time. He then found a new home on the wing and started contributing with crucial goals. Something you dont seem to understand the importance of. People are going to moan if they feel like one of the players isnt giving 100%, and has underperformed for the club. Whilst typing this out, @blueboy3333 has shown Im not the only one to suggest they arent satisfied with Samuels application at the moment. Your assertion that he "needs support not people moaning at it" is both idiotic and hypocritical in equal measure. We are discussing a striker who hasnt scored in over 3 months on an internet messageboard that he almost certainly doesnt read. When in the ground the players get supported. And you constantly criticized Graham for months, for what you considered to be laziness and underachievement. Where was your "support not people moaning at it" attitude then? It seems he's had the arm around the shoulder treatment with Mowbray trying to keep him involved and giving him mins here and there sometimes when it might have called for better options.. Now it's kick up the arse time. One thing about TM is he seems to give players more than a fair crap of the whip but after a while if he's getting nothing in return he'll drop them to one side. Strong management, no room for snowflakes here anymore hopefully and hopefully Samuel regroups and comes back stronger on the back of it.

Roughly translated as 'he's lazy and he can't finish' which anybody who has seen him will tell you pretty much sums Samuel up. Poor signing and one of those players who will always be described as having the right attributes but will rarely utilise them.

It was a competition that the Under-23 lads had worked hard to get to a semi-final in. So I suspect they did care when the senior players strolled around with the aim of getting fit. As the next round - the final - isn't until August I'm not sure how that would impact on the fixtures over the next few weeks.

We do NOT have any fixture pile up. None whatsoever. He should have given youth a chance in this game so whatever the result was it would have no impact on the first team. How simple is that!

Compare Vaughan's performance for Wigan when he came on against us vs. what we've seen from Samuel and to a lesser extent Nuttall from the bench this season - like chalk and cheese. We're buggered if Graham gets injured.

To not even score with that line up against burys third string or kids is apalling, unprofessional and disrespectful to the young lads that had got us so far. Samuel can fek off along with nuttall. I've seen enough of them to no there not Blackburn rovers players

Not able to see any comparison at all between Chapman and Conway. Conway has get technique but zero trickery/flair. Chapman has relatively good pace with lots of trickery and flair and can beat players. Conway had a little pace but he's just an excellent crosser of the ball.

Its pointless discussing season tickets till we know what league we are in. That's what the owners will think anyway. Everybody assumes the club will carry on just like this season if we fail to go up. It may not.

There are probably quite a few 30 year olds in the same boat as well tbf. I just think that the old ‘leave home at 16’ and ‘married at 21’ days are behind us. Mentally and emotionally a twenty-something is basically an extended teenager. Mollycoddled throughput school and not ready for the real world until much older than they used to be. Low paid jobs used to still get you in the housing market but not any more. Granted they could probably save up for a season ticket and sacrifice other things but if the club want to keep the next generation of fans at the club then they need to target their wallets as well as their hearts.

How many do become lifers though. As soon as it gets tough and the standard drops, them fans will just stop coming because its rubbish boycott
