v Leeds Utd (h) - 9/12/23
Silas replied to Chris Whittys Barber's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
In the Prem with VAR I think each one wud be examined on it's own merit. Was introduced to stop the ridiculous, accidental ones where a player's back was turned and falling to ground. Ridiculous penalties were being given. Today's one I can see the debate. Definitely stopped the ball going into the 6 yard box, and a potential goal opportunity. Personally, didn't think it was. But I'm not adamant. -

Is a handstand a natural position to be in during a football match? -

It seems to be Leonard wearing a Siggy suit. Same sloppy play. -

Yep, I think they've written it into the laws specifically. If the hand is where it would be naturally to support body, no foul. Thought these commentators would know that. -

Two very poor passes/hold up play from Leonard. -

Ah yes, like that too. And it's got my zip. 😀 -
Genuinely not looking to stick the boot into Dack, but his signing probably contributed to the sacking. You bring someone in from your old club that you worked with for years, that you should have the inside scoop on. And then it goes.....how it's gone. Not a good look. And I'm genuinely gutted how Dack's career has nosedived after 2 bad injuries. He was so close to the top. Bad decision from Mowbray though.

Sam Curran's 2.5 death overs went for 53 runs. Wow.

In reality, yes. But on a messageboard she doesn't read, I'm full of bravado like I wear the trousers. 😉 -

Tbf I've always said my wife wears the permanent scowl of a Rovers fan. She'll blend right in. -

Going to be bringing my daughter to her first ever live football match for this. And wife to Ewood for first time in over a decade. They don’t really like football, so if the aim was to add 2 miserable faces to the crowd, we're going to be absolutely nailing it! 😂 -

A big fat zero points from 27 on offer makes it sound even worse. Or 4 from 36 if we include the year before. Awful. -

In the Premier League era all 3 relegated teams have never bounced back up. And only once has all 3 promoted teams gone straight back down. 1997-98 season - Barnsley, Bolton, Crystal Palace. So, it would be quite a seismic shift if both happened this season.

Silas replied to simongarnerisgod's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Course you can. It's just collateral damage I'm afraid. If I don't hide your post, everyone can still read his. That, then would cause many more people to be (quite rightly) offended by it, and react similar to you. The thread then goes way off topic, and I personally didn't think his comment deserved that oxygen. Please don't take it personally, we don't like hiding poster contributions, but sometimes think it's the best choice for the board in general. -

Interesting that you only care about said opinions when Preston have beaten or drawn with us. That thirst for knowledge seems to have waned when we beat you 3-0 and 4-1. Weird. -

Binning the lot of them posts gents, so to speak. It's shit, again, for the 123rd time getting kicked in the balls right by the final whistle. But can we not rip into each other please. -

Yeah, it's not the tap in they're painting. Tricky height the ball arrived at. -
Yep, I can't even count in single digits. I'm still considering them joint bottom.

Sheff Utd score. Bottom of the table. 😀

It's absolutely hilarious is what it is. Talk about taking a kicking when you're down.

Silas replied to pick32's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
He's given us no credit whatsoever. Despite seeming to have a good bit of knowledge on Rovers- Travis nearly leaving in summer, referencing our QPR/Plymouth contrasting performances- that's more than the average mainstream channels. And yet has panned us despite the obvious gulf in cost and quality. -

Only reason I can think him not giving it from his angle is cos Chelsea player turned his back. -
Any updates gents? Can't speak for everyone, but I suspect your presence might be more warmly received this season than it was last. 😜

Of course the new injury time directive doesn't apply to us. Why would it.
