You can't justify losing out on this one. The lad is 23 year old and has worked with our manager. Venkys want to buy quality young players and sell on for a profit so it fits the transfer strategy perfectly. You break the bank for that kind of signing as it'll reap rewards later. Although they have parachute payments, it's still Sheffield Utd so they won't be offering huge wages. With Nyambe it’s about ability too (and Lenihan has also had his best season), but I’d rather us pay better new signings more in wages than a trio of underachievers. Rothwell should have gone in January. What a waste of money that was. It is very poor that we’re letting all three go for nothing though.

I’d prefer Glen over Derek and Agnew. Nothing outlandish about that. Only one of those had the best interests of the club at heart. He was working for nothing and was the only one putting a shift in.

If we put it to a serious vote I'd be happy to put Glen as a DOF. He did a far better unpaid job than any of the overpaid chancers we had at the time.

The one thing to counter this is that Pace and co are clearly a pack of dicks. Burnley fans can put their rose tinted specs on all they like, but that's a fact. They are getting by on other peoples money. They may do great next season but it'll catch up if Pace carries on the way he's started.
