Sometimes, the passing around the back drives me crazy, even when we are leading. Worse when we are trailing, and we are still trying to be fancy passing in our own half and then having Lenihan pump his trademark overhit upfield balls to nowhereland.

Just because the commentators are talking about other players doesn't mean he's not contributing.. It's true Elliot didn't make much impact (neither did the rest of the team), but you could see he was the only few players who are trying to get on the ball and create something and get back to the game. I don't think it's fair to say Dolan stood out more.

Lenihan ALWAYS does that. He wants to be in the thick of action and tends to over-commits himself to get the ball. But more often than not, he misses the ball, be out of position and leaves a gaping hole at the back.
