I think this game will be the start of a 5-game winning streak! Get in boys! -

True that, one point goes a long way to help in the relegation battle. Better to get the points now than towards the end. Can't see Rovers been able to handle a relegation battle as we weren't built for that at the start of the season (mentally & team-wise). -
May just work if Brereton has a football brain and can control a ball.

He's not leaving. Venky's not sacking him. Which means the journey continues on. It's slow and painful. Even lady luck has deserted us. -

Wild but just realised Thierry Henry is available. Knows best about making possession football count (during his Arsenal/Wenger days). Continuing the journey from Tony, maybe? -

Finally February is over! What a month, from touching distance of top 6 to touching distance of bottom 6. Totally wasted the past 6 games. Any, any decent manager should get more than what our head coach achieved. Yet he is still hanging around, insisting he's not a burden, unless been told so. The football is horrible to watch for the past couple of months, tactics are still the same, players blow hot and cold, mainly cold yet. Hopefully in March, the boys can man up on the field, show abit of fight and get some points onboard, before we get sucked into an unexpected relegation battle. -

ROVERS V COVENTRY 27/2/2021

It's a good victory for us today (in terms of possession) 67% to 33%. Our passing accuracy beat Coventry as well. I'm a performance/statistics-based fan, results don't really matter. -

https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19118986.tony-mowbray-doesnt-want-a-burden-rovers/ He's not leaving unless the Venkys tell him so. He wants his payout. His interviews lately are so predictable - An style of football hes trying to get us playing (and proceeds to name drop Brentford, Swansea, Liverpool...) The journey story and XX number of games into it Injury issues (as if all those who are injured can walk into the first eleven - probably only Lenihan and Ayala) Loss of form happens to every club blah blah... Not his fault but if it is, Venkys have to tell him -

Is there such a league where promotion/relegation is purely based on performance.. which i'm not aware about? Tony, you are getting weirder with each interview. -

We aren't brave enough to kick Mowbray off the bus and get someone like Pearson onboard. Pearson wont guarantee Bristol City a playoff chance but at least there's a fresh view on their current squad, a manager who can inject new energy, ideas into the team. We are just stale and still trying to find our "identity" with the pointless possession football shit. -

Please dont look at such stats. They do not reflect the truth. We are second in the league in terms of possession. We are also one of the top scorers in the league. Also second top scorer in Armstrong. -

Our basic passing, shooting, heading is just non-existent. What do we do in training? -
Tony Mowbray Discussion

I may be the only one but I'm really starting to hate this man. Whatever he has done for us in the first 2 seasons, the appreciation and gratitude to him are slowly evaporating. With every match, every interview, he doesnt seem to know what he's doing or saying. Totally disillusional. All that talk about been 2nd in possession in the league is just rubbish when we aren't getting results. Do we get a wildcard promotion if we win the possession league? It's getting stale. I know a new manager wont guaranteed promotion but sometimes, you just need a slight reboot. -
Barnsley v Rovers, Wed 17th Feb
yellowsubmarine replied to JPTSwindon's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Not even going predict our starting 11 cos our manager doesnt believe in formation. Hes just pick players he likes, put them together on the pitch and let them create something. Few things for sure. Gallagher will play on the right wing (either starting or as a sub) Nyambe will probably start but will get subbed off for the City guy. Buckley will come on for the ineffective Rothwell. Armstrong will miss alot of chances, may just nick one from pen. Brereton will probably start, runs around aimlessly n get subs off, looking really shagged. Tony will do his infamous triple-threat substitutions Travis will get his weekly yellow card Dack will have a few moment of brillance when he comes on, which no one on the same wavelength will anticipate. Fades away towards the end. Kaminiski will make some great saves but may not be enough. There wl be aimless long punts from Lenihan. Tony will sit on his comfortable seat and tell the supporters why is there a need to stand at the touchlines when the players can hear him in an empty stadium. Happy to be proved wrong. -
