After he had spread himself to save the first shot which was blocked by a Rovers defender. And we've still got Dack To come back and attack. -

Nobbers v Rovers, Tues 24 Nov 7.45pm

Everyone had an outstanding game. Players were in their correct positions. The front three seemed to roam where they wanted to and it worked. Gally was down the middle. Ben B was left and sometimes right. I thought we gelled very well. Special mention for Wharton who looks excellent. He has to keep his place even when Ayala and Williams are fit. Having said that, the player for me that has made the most difference is Kaminski. He is a 3rd CB which allows Nyambe and Douglas to get high up their wings. Trybull was played in his proper position. TM must NOT play Trybull with Johnson or Evans. Only one of those in the team at any one time, please. Attacking midfielders must be chosen from Holtby, Rothwell, Travis, Davenport, Buckley, JRC. Forwards are Ben B, Arma, Gallagher, Elliott, Dolan, Chapman, Dack Please, Tony, keep the same starting 11 against Barnsley if you can. Who needs Messi?? -

Early days folks. One good win doesn't make a top six finish. Let's hope we can keep up the performances. Remember most of us regularly shout "Mowbray Out". -

We have a fantastic squad of players now. We should be able to keep up the good work in spite of injuries and covid. 3 points per game please Tony. Wharton looks terrific. He must keep his place. Agree that Trybull OR Johnson as DMF; not both. Kaminski must keep fit. I'm grinning like a Cheshire Cat. -

In 1960 I believe that Peter Swan, the Sheffield Wednesday centre half, grabbed Derek Dougan's genitals and squeezed them during the FA Cup semi-final when it looked like Rovers were going to win and Dougan had said to him, "Want to buy a ticket for the cup final?" -

Read the books, Jim. However, if you want to accept that the shirt is divided into 4 halves then so be it. In the early 1950s they were known as quarters. Language changes. Railway stations are now known as train stations although the actual station is situated on the railway and not on the train. -

I'm 77. ? I'm a Preston boy and my mother and all her family, my grandad, uncles and cousins, were North Enders. I remember them being promoted from Div 2 and finishing runners-up in Div 1 the following season ( I think). They had a fabulous team which contained Tom Finney, Willie Cunningham and Tommy Docherty among others. They drew big crowds then, a lot coming down from Lancaster and Morecambe areas. Fortunately for me my dad was a Rover and was taking me to Ewood to watch a struggling second division side playing in blue and white quarters. This was just before we brought in Langton, Quigley, Kelly and Briggs. After that it got a lot better. I had a friend, Bob Plunkett. I would go to his house on a Saturday afternoon to see if he would come and play out. His mum always said, "He's gone on't North End". I never learned. No doubt he would have come to my house on other Saturday afternoons to be told I'd gone to the Rovers. -

A bit harsh, that. The old Deepdale's maximum gate was 42,000. The fact that they have never been in the Prem hurts them a lot. -

I listened to Radio Lancs, 95.5 fm. Two excellent commentators who thought Rovers played well and were unfortunate not to win. Who were they? The chap with the cockney accent was full of praise for us. -

Strong side. Miserable Tony will have the lads ready to give Luton a 4-0 stuffing. Usually happens after we have torn TM to bits. -

Fisher needed to move on to get first team football. Good luck to the lad.

Thanks. I've just checked mine and it too is £0.00. My query answered.

Thanks for responding. But I cannot see anywhere to use it before the final purchase.

Rovers v QPR Sat 7th November

I didn't realise that Andy Cole played for Burnley as well as Rovers; 13 appearances in 2008. -
Can anyone help me. I'm trying to buy from Roverstore online and I want to know if there is any discount to season ticket holders. On the Rovers website it offers "email us". I cannot see what I am typing until I've done a few sentences. Then I cannot send the email. It really is a shocking website. Earlier I rang the club and found it impossible to speak to a human being. It's so frustrating.

All goalkeepers make errors. When TK does we mustn't get on his back.
-
There was one shot from QPR through a crowded penalty area when the ball could have ricocheted anywhere. TK stayed squatted one position and caught it. I was amazed because a lot of keepers tend to move all over the place according to where they think the ball is going to finish up. This isn't the first time I have noticed this about TK. He instills confidence in me, let alone his defence.
