  1. Who cares what players do in their spare time! its what they do on the pitch that matters.
  2. We have to remember that we have a number of players still injured and some of the replacements just aren’t yet good enough for this level of football. Particularly disappointing performances from both Dolan and Gallagher who just don’t seem to be able to perform on a consistent basis. Dolan scores 2 against Stoke and nothing since. Gallagher against Preston but again nothing since. Maybe they aren’t getting the service but as regular strikers we should expect a better return. We desperately need Hedges, Tronstad and JRC (and Carter) back fully fit. Hopefully Brittain’s injury is not too bad.
  3. Speculation or fact? It would be good if someone at the club could come out and explain WTF has happened over the past 2 months.
  4. I think both JDT and JE seem to have been victims of the dreaded injury jinx. Yes, we know all teams get injuries but ours seem to have had quite an impact. The midfield against Stoke had JRC, Tronstadt and Hedges. All missing at Swansea. JDT also had to cope with injuries to several key players, Carter amongst them. If we can get to the international break without any disasters then we could be in a better position albeit with a tough run in
  5. Disappointing result but not unexpected given our recent league form. Looking back at what ifs is not much comfort now so we have to stick behind the manager and the team. The effort is there and we just need a bit more nous in front of goal. Getting Hedges and JRC back will be key as they are the more mature members of the squad and can support the younger players. The likes of Moran, Ayari and Markandy, whilst skilful, shouldn’t be asked to shoulder the burden of a relegation battle. Whoever agreed to Travis leaving should be shot! The Newcastle game showed that we can perform when required and that the fans will get behind the team. We need this in the last few home games!
  6. If we don’t play our strongest side (or as near as) then we will get battered. Newcastle have very little left to play for and will want to win this one. Get into ‘em
  7. Unfortunately pretty possession football with the players at JDT’s disposal was only heading one way - down! Yes the current approach is less exciting but necessary. I hope you are not falling out of love with Rovers now that JDT has gone. Stick with us, we need all the fans we can get.
  8. And I’m sure he doesn’t have to prove himself. Despite what many think he is a good player and for some reason JDT couldn’t see that
  9. And he’s playing well. Seems to have a bit more space in the Premier.
  10. Tony Mowbray just announced he is stepping down temporarily from his duties due to a medical issue https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/tony-mowbray-birmingham-city-manager-28659515 Get well soon Tony
  11. Get Buckley back in the team if he is fit. i know he’s not a replacement for Adam but he can do a much better job than any others we have available. I like Garratt but he isn’t in the same class as Buckley. We should not have let Travis go either.
  12. I know things are tough for us fans at the moment but is that really necessary?
  13. Really? There’s obviously a risk of Wrexham fans getting into the home areas. Wasn’t it only a few weeks ago that some were complaining about Leeds fans buying home tickets? There’s no real barrier to anyone who wants to attend this match. Tickets are affordable, plentiful and available online, by phone and in person. Yes we may lose a handful of last minute walk on fans but they at least know the score if they want to do that. As if the club deliberately want to stop Rovers fans buying tickets! Don’t make me laugh.
  14. Town have signed this guy. At 6’3” he’ll probably be another formidable defender for us to get past. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68024523
  15. Ennis will most likely do a George Hirst and start scoring for fun as soon as he leaves Rovers
  16. Lightweight footballers sums it up perfectly. Kids learning the game against seasoned pros. Sigurdsson too easily knocked off the ball and frightened to get stuck in. Like him or not, we need a Travis type to give it out a bit. Oh wait! We had one but lent him out.
  17. Some good points river but we are in danger of dumbing down the squad to fit a certain way of playing with players who clearly either aren’t up to it or just don’t have the experience. Travis and Buckley are experienced Championship players (I may regret that statement if they leave) who can certainly do a good job at this level but are being cast aside because JDT doesn’t rate them.
  18. Buckley is definitely good enough to be playing Championship football. He just needs to adapt to the way that JDT wants him to play. Hopefully he will soon recover from his injury and play a part in rescuing our season that is rapidly going down the pan.
  19. For me I’d have a midfield of atravis, Wharton and Tronstadt. Set up not to concede.
  20. Had to endure that shambles whilst sat with the Town fans. Needless to say I didn’t need to keep quiet as there was nothing of note from Rovers to get excited about. As predicted, Darren Moore had done his homework on our team and made sure we couldn’t play through them. The more we passed it around the more comfortable Town were to hit us on the break. I think the Thomasson/Broughton project has run its course.
  21. Darren Moore will ensure his players try to bully us off the park. Jonathan Hogg in midfield can be quite physical. If we play as we did on Saturday against Watford, a much better team, we should be able to win this game.
  22. A great game to watch and some quality football from our very young squad but we are crying out for an experienced striker. Hopefully we will find some money from down the sofa for one in the January sales. A few players back from injury will help too.
  23. Lots of fans like me live some distance away from Blackburn. It would be interesting if the club published some demographics as they clearly have this information. Another wet and windy drive over the Pennines today. Ugh
  24. Dare I ask why you haven’t been to a game all season Tom? Whilst I agree that the decision to make this match a digital one is a bad one there seems to be a lot of comment from folk who appear to be digitally savvy claiming that they won’t be able to buy tickets for themselves or others. In this day and age, if you are regularly online then it’s likely that you will be able to buy tickets without much problem (if you can pay for them that is)
