I said "very much" OZZ. Your unusually bright insight into the finer points of footy, excepted of course. -
[Archived] Newcastle United 0 Blackburn Rovers 1

Souness actually believed that Newcastle were the best team. Now I find that amazing. Rovers looked by far a better side, to me. Which teams back four looked in control of the situation? It wasn't Newcastles. Which teams midfield looked fitter and had the movement to cause problems all afternoon? It wasn't Newcastles. Who's strikers were getting more and more frustrated by the way the game was panning out? Newcastle and Shearer in particular. Notice Savage isn't getting a mention very much on here. Why? I thought he was superb. -
As regards new investment, the club were told to find new investment quite some time ago.

You would be better advised to alter your posting style. Maybe try to be a bit more "reasoned" in your arguments. Otherwise - it will all end in tears.

The comment about west ham was aimed at the last poster. If the prices had to be agreed between both sets of fans, how come I wasn't asked? Quits?
-
West Ham wont know who's bought the rovers tickets, so it must be rovers who have decided to charge different prices. How will that go down with the fans. Lee?
-
Has it ever happened before, where the prices of an AWAY game, are cheaper for season ticket holders?
-
Looks like you are Shillitto. He was named man of the match.

You want 11 players who don't have passion? -
Loved that one

Fair comments Jim Royle. - "Looking from outside I see that “my club” is being run by a fabulous management team, be that at boardroom level, first team level or academy level." Totally agree. I think it's fair to say, that the document doesn't, and isn't intended to represent the unanimous views of all BRISA members. What it is, is a collection of ideas taken from Rovers fans, from various sources. BRISA knows, and the club know that there is probably very little that is new. However, as has been said before, at the very least BRISA can give the answers in detail to it's members - and everyone else. Those answers will be put in front of everyone, to disect as necessary. There is much to be gained from clarifying the situation. Tom Finn has said that if even one suggestion can be taken on board, then it will have been worthwhile. We will have to see what develops. I do think your comments about amateurish drivel are a bit over the top though. I mean, we're only a group of fans trying to help. We're not a consortium of top professionals.

Why would it be unlawful, if it was in his contract, Stu?
-
Regarding Bellamy's booking, my Mrs said that it was mentioned on the tv last night, that Bellamy wasn't allowed to play against Newc anyway. They had it written into his contract. Anyone else hear that?

Yes, the Tramway. Superb for £3.50. Roast, 5 veggies and boiled/roast spuds. As much as you can eat. The lad with the scouse accent is the rovers fan. -

Went to a pub in Clevelys last week where they do a great "as much as you want to eat" buffet for £3.50. Turkey, Beef or Ham [or some of each]. The guy serving started telling us what a **** week he'd had. He'd had to work extra to cover for Christmas and the footy game he had been really looking forward to, had to be postponed. Turned out he was a rovers fan and was going to the Sunderland game. Can't be many rovers fans in Clevelys can there? Wasn't you, was it? -

No, it doesn't go back 20 years, it goes back 120 years. It's called rivalry. See the Burnley m/b's to get a taste for it. -

Strengthen our bonds with PNE? 1864, Whittle Blue, Preston Blue, Abbey or anyone else from this neck of the woods - tell him something he obviously doesn't understand! -
I'll settle for the result when we played 'em in the mid sixties. 3-3 at Upton Park [John Byrom hat trick] followed by a 4-1 drubbing at Ewood Park in the replay [Andy McEvoy hat trick] Bobby Moore and all. Anyone else go to Upton Park for that game?
