  1. I think O'Neill is worse. At least Mowbray has a good way with the players. Can you imagine the atmosphere between O'Neill, Keane and the players when things aren't going well? Wouldn't surprise me if there was a bust up of sorts there before the season is out
  2. I called that. What he subjected us poor Ireland fans to over the last 2 years. Give me Mowbray any day.
  3. It's crazy. A month is no discouragement to scumbags wanting to make a name for themselves. I am sure in his circles he is a hero of sorts. Although even there he shouldn't be as it was one of the most pathetic punches I have ever seen.
  4. I didn't realise he played so many Premier league games
  5. The biggest challenge for him stepping up to a senior job would be he would be managing players who are paid more and have had more success and arguably better careers than him. The under 23s all look up to him no doubt as they haven't made it in the game at all yet. I mean, could he rip Mulgrew a new one? A lad who is a few years younger, but has played Champions league football. Johnson is doing a great job where he is, but maybe it's the bet place for him and us.
  6. Impressive and forward thinking.
  7. No way. Why move one of our best performers out of his position? People criticize Mowbray for daft team selections! Lenihan days in midfield are long over. He's an Irish international playing centre half. He's a far better centre half than midfielder.
  8. I think he needs to start centre forward for us to get a proper look
  9. He has started 3 games
  10. I doubt he will leave on loan. He's only 19,so hopefully he gets bigger and stronger for next season.
  11. Ya, that is damning no doubt. The perils of trying to stay in the premier league. It's funny because I think a good manager should be the main outlay. I still think that cutting their cloth accordingly could account for signing a Prodigy from city on 25,000 a week. I could be wrong, but it's just my guess.
  12. I'm only skimming. Having pints watching the city and Liverpool games. Sorry if I missed that. It is a guess, but with the money in football these days, it is plausible.
  13. No, I don't,but it doesn't add up that they are in this much trouble. I would say they are playing the long game and being cautious. Which is probably sensible. Doubt their fans are happy though.
  14. When the pressure is off
  15. They are arguably being over cautious after relegation. I'm sure their fans agree. You give promotion a good go the first year and then evaluate. Doesn't add up. They didn't spend ludicrous money in the premier league. I would say they were prudent enough. Either way, Celina is on 25,000 a week or therabouts I reckon
  16. They are still getting parachute payments and I have heard no mention they are under financial pressure. Sounds like the managers choice about who left. Rhodes was on 40,000 here. He is on 25,000, possibly more, but not far off it either way.
  17. Give them all a chance!
  18. My estimate is as good as any and very realistic. Write it off to suit your argument if you want. Swansea have parachute payments so pretty sure they arent broke. Kept most of their squad together. He is on at least 25,000. Most of their squad are on more than that. True or false? As for your second and third paragraphs, you are answering somehting I didn't say
  19. Oh ya now you're talking. I would like this against Bolton Rodwell Travis Chapman Dack Rothwell BRERETON
  20. A winning run is a winning run. I do get you though. Although even with our best 11 I don't think we would have made the play offs. 100%, get Brereton in now. Absolutely no reason why not.
  21. It's still close enough and he could even be on more. At those figures Brereton cost a million more over a 4 year contract. He has had an impact, but I'm sure Swansea fans are disappointed with how much. He looked good against us second half when we played them
  22. Could be close enough to it. Let's say Brereton is on 10 grand and Celina is on 25 grand. That's 15 extra per week, so 15,000 x 52 weeks equals 780,000 more per season. It's plausible. There was plenty of competition for Celina and as such his wages would be higher than you might expect. He left man city and Swansea have that sweet parachute money.
  23. They were, but they had a great chance at the end. Wigan still in big trouble
  24. Shocking offside call against Wigan there lol
  25. Armstrong goal being on the list is funny as he admitted he didn't mean it!
