  1. True indeed. I will have us on the laptop and CL on the TV. I just find Ifollow to have an awful user interface. I repeatedly get lost trying to find where you buy the match pass. Other than that, I don't find it too bad. I actually like the 2 lads commentating.
  2. He doesn't have any experience wit transfers, because he doesn't have the luxury of being able to sign players. He works with what he has. In an ideal world, under good owners i would love for us to go and get a manager that excites the fans. However past experience would suggest that would be highly unlikely. So in that case, I would be happy giving Johnson a chance. He would def give youth a chance.
  3. In fairness to Johnson, he lost numerous big players. Some joined the first team squad, some went on loan, he had some injuries too. All of this at a higher level with some massive clubs. Mowbray had the opportunity to strengthen the first team and at the end of the season him and Johnson could end up around the same place in the table, relevant to the size of the leagues
  4. Is this on IFollow? I don't know if I can be bothered with the Champions league on. We are just too hard to watch
  5. The thing is though we were doing well up until Feb, not just keeping our heads above water. We were a win off the play-off places. I don't think anyone predicted we would go on such an awful run and it def can't just be ignored, swept under the carpet under the umbrella that "safety was the aim"
  6. Indeed and you make a valid point about this season. However our aim last season was promotion at all costs and that was achieved. This season it was to consolidate, which we have, but as you say, how we have gotten to this point is concerning and can't just be passed off because we consolidated. The run we are on isn't just a blip, it's borderline catastrophic.
  7. So bad at attacking and defending?
  8. That's silly. Liverpool signed Shaqiri after Stoke went down and there are many, many more examples of similar.
  9. I think it is safe to assume now at this stage that Rodwell will be gone at the end of the season? Pity in my opinion that "Square pegs, round holes" Mowbray never gave him a proper run in midfield. I think we could have found a way to fit him in Raya Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bell Rodwell Travis Reed Dack Armstrong Graham Q- But BDS you have no wingers and no width you crazy man A- We don't have any wingers and nobody who plays there can cross the ball anyway
  10. It doesn't matter what we were doing with 40 games played, all that matters was where we were after 46. Job done , comfortably for a finish. I am critical of Mowbray now too, but lets not downplay what he achieved last season. It's pointless, disingenuous and takes focus off the real issues which are happening right now.
  11. No. A quick winger would destroy him and I don't think he would get up and down as much as Bell.
  12. Well he did acknowledge after the last game that it's a results business. Personally I can't listen to anymore of the following We worked hard We played well We weren't good enough defensively We weren't good enough in the final third/with the final ball The last 2 in particular have been repeated game after bloody game. Just sort it out or at least take steps to try and do it
  13. Loved Speedball 2. I think Jerome Anderson was the clubs agent in that , some dodgy looking characters. Although I wouldn't mind having a couple of them in defence this season
  14. Great night for the Irish wrestling contingent last night. Great that Lesnar eventually lost too. What for him now I wonder?
  15. It's worrying that the last time Waggott was Mowbrays boss, he walked rather than being sacked.
  16. Whatever about Rovers, Wigan at 7/1 seems extremely generous.
  17. Not sure what you mean here. I was a big supporter earlier in the season, but based on evidence I have now changed my opinion. I am sure others have done the same.
  18. But they could win them all the same
  19. This is true and it isn't their fault that they haven't been given the support and help they should have been last summer and in January However i will add that Bennett and Mulgrew should be showing more leadership. Mulgrews body language is appalling and Bennett has disappeared off social media, which is a huge contrast to how vocal he was when things were going well.
  20. I suppose that leaves us with the following questions, which I will now answer Will Mulgrew still be captain next year? Yes Will the majority of Bennett, Evans, Smallwood and even Williams still be starting next season? I would say there is a good chance we will play some games with all 4 of them playing Will we sign 3-4 players who will come straight into the starting 11? Going off what I have seen from Mowbray, I would say absolutely not. Worrying times indeed. We are in a right mess
  21. Has Sharpe asked Mowbray if his position is under pressure or if he is considering walking? I think it's a legitimate question at this point. Unfortunately
  22. We just don't have enough winners in the team. Mulgrew aside, how many of them have ever won anything? We are a team of journeymen. You can't just expect them to turn into winners. We need experience and player who are winners in the summer
  23. That's a tough run, but I wouldn't be surprised if they picked up a 1-0 win or two. They have been here before and gotten out of it. We are relying on Stoke and Swansea not going on their holidays yet, like we did in February-pathetic
