  1. What comments were these? Do you have a link? I remember him saying that Pulis wanted to look at Chapman in pre-season, which is exactly what has happened. Famous last words on McGinn....
  2. We thought we had problems on the wing. They have a right back playing there...
  3. Please charge your phone!! Ya Hull look poor, hopefully we can do a job on them. All about getting as many points on the board as quickly as possible. 45 points by Xmas!!!!
  4. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16401221.what-business-could-rovers-do-before-the-transfer-window-shuts/?ref=mac From the article, on McGinn. Rovers would need to likely splash out in the region of £3m to land the 23-year-old, also in the final year of his contract, but they do have the money to spend, and is certainly one to keep an eye on. Interesting few days coming up
  5. I don't think saying we may get a bit for him is negative at all, it's pretty realistic. I wouldn't be surprised if Stoke or WBA bid either. I don't think we would accept less than 10ish, but it would be distracting. I can see a 6ish million bid coming in.. It would be soul destroying to accept a bid late in the window for him. Mowbray definitely wouldn't want to accept it anyway as it would leave us weaker, with no time to spend the money. I think things are being done differently at the club with Mowbray here, so fingers crossed.
  6. He has had a run of clubs being run badly while being manager. I hope he gets a good job next. He deserves it. Even though he couldn't pick a decent centre midfield partnership while here
  7. I have a feeling its going to be a chaotic few days coming up. I wonder will we get any cheeky bids in for Dack? If I was Warnock I would lob in an 8 million bid, no bother
  8. There is moderating content and there is being involved in public discussions, not because they are breaking rules, but because you disagree with them. Anyway, I think the mods do a great job. Just seems they have a hyper sensitivity to negativity being called out or highlighted.
  9. Paid with balanced moderation. Sounds great. Ya, I don't think moderators should be wading in with their own views. From my experience, boards where people are one thing or the other works beast Is the view nice from up there Stuart? Who said anything about them keeping the place polite. That wasn't what we were discussing. The mods do a decent job here by and large. I just think they are hyper sensitive to posters who say others are negative. Anyway, I couldn't be bothered saying anymore on it. Great window so far
  10. That's not true. I have been on many boards where mods have focused on personal agendas. Don't pretend it's any different here. Anyway, I don't think they are targeting me. Just targeting specific content that doesn't make sense to me, anyways.
  11. I do wonder if Sharpe keeps his cards close to his chest or is actually in the dark with regards to these matters. What do ye reckon?
  12. As a mod, why do you always get involved in this? You never comment to anyone with a more, cautious(negative) outlook picking up on their discussion point. One sided moderation is a slippery slope! There is a lot of unreasonable moaning and negativity on here. If a poster points it out you jump in "oh you can't be saying that, they are just being reasonable". Well no, not everyone is reasonble. Some posters are just negative moaners. 98% are not. Some fans were saying all summer we wouldn't sign anyone for more than we spent on Dack. They said we couldn't afford Armstrong and would be "scurrying around" "begging" for loans from Premier league clubs. In fact the window so far had been decent, with more to come it would seem. Is the world gone so politically correct that those who got it wrong can't be called out on that for fear of upsetting them? Nobody is insulting anyone, nobody is swearing. You would think we are 5 year old children with what can and can't be said sometimes. Seriously.
  13. So signing Armstrong is "scurrying about looking to do panic business" Stop talking shite
  14. What's pointless about giving the young lad an opportunity to play week in week out?
  15. If we started with it and won I wouldn't care. If he starts it and we don't perform, the daggers will be out!
  16. I thought Mulgrew should have cleared their second goal. He let it run, either thinking it was going wide or to Rayas hands. I am a bit worried about Mulgrew when it comes to keeping his concentration week in week out from a defensive point of view
  17. It wouldn't "suddenly click" but they could be working on it in training. I wouldn't be surprised to see it used during a game. I would be surprised to see us start with it
  18. It's all baseless speculation. I can't see a formation change just out of the blue this season. We may switch during games, but we will start with 4-2-3-1, as last season
  19. How many times did we play 3 at the back last season? From my recollection we started 2 games with that formation
  20. Great bit of business with Armstrong. Budget there all along, as Mowbray assured us it was. Now hopefully another winger, centre half and a striker please. 1 can be a loan. This Mcginn link is interesting. Fans on here saying "oh we need to sign players who are good enough to straight into the first 11" , then when we are linked with such a player, it changes to "oh we don't need another midfielder" Mcginn would be a class signing. Could move for 10 million plus in a season or 2 if he lives up to his potential. His signing would probably lead to whittingham and maybe even Travis leaving on loan. Could be good for Travis to start week in week out in league 1
  21. Home jersey arrived. Nice in real life. Colour scheme reminds me of Argentina. Sponsor still ugly
  22. Hopefully. We need a few more steady Eddie's. Too many player doing rap for their initiation song. Doesn't work, especially if you're white. It's a scientific fact
