  1. It may suit Mowbray for it to be known that BB was not his (£7m) man. Otherwise it would mean that Mowbray, famed throughout the land for his integrity, is putting up with other people having final say on his signings. Be interesting to know the truth on this one. What we do know is that Mogga said BB would be worth a lot more in the future and that he was the best finisher in training (aren't they all?!). They aren't the words of someone who is trying to pass off the signing as someone else's. However, if BB is someone else's signing then it calls in to question Mowbray's integrity.
  2. You lied about the 'fraud'. Nothing is worse than that.
  3. There were morte people in the JW Upper today but the rest of the ground looked pretty much the same. 1250 from Norwich is pretty poor considering their league position.
  4. I can remember him saying he had to dampen their expectations re promotion. He may have also said it about spending money. He definitely said after we signed BB that as the money was there he may as well spend it. Personally I think he had a very good budget and was expected to spend it but couldn't attract the likes of Celina and Freeman. BB was therefore a panic buy IMO. It was very last minute.
  5. I'd be loathed to give Mowbray any more money. Which begs a question!!
  6. True. Williams and Graham both had very good headed chances from corners. We also got in good positions on numerous occasions but the final ball, as always, was lacking. Norwich get in a good position and kill us off. Frustrating is the word.
  7. I don't think it was a fitness issue. We just got caught out by a team that has a lot more composure on the ball and better quality. As soon as Palmer and BB came on we were exposed out wide.
  8. @jim mk2 will be digging out the relegation thread again soon?
  9. He makes Paul McKinnon look like Shearer. Dreadful performance today but as others have said he's not a winger, just like AA is not a winger, and just like Sam Gally is not a winger but will play there when he signs. Mowbray is 'tactically astute' though so who are we argue. £7m FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I though we actually defended quite well for once. We limited them to very few chances. It's the other end of the pitch that is the problem.
  11. What today proved is that we lack quality. We nullified Norwich for the most part but when it comes to creating we are absolutely gash. Either Dack works a bit of magic or we're stuffed. Which begs the question, what exactly did we commit to spend £10m on in the summer? Mowbray's work in the transfer market was abysmal this summer. The End. Positives :- Bell played well. Reed was excellent. Evans was excellent, anyone who says he's L1 standard is frankly an idiot. Nyambe did well until he got caught out for their goal but it didn't help that Palmer and Brereton offered absolutely no support down the flanks when they came on. Raya - one class save in particular. Williams - thought he did well defensively when he came on Graham - held it up well. Couldn't do much more. Negatives:- BB - Appalling. Doesn't even look like a footballer. Forest must be cocking themselves laughing. It doesn't help that he isn't a winger. His confidence looks non-existent. Palmer - the sooner he goes back the better. An absolute liability. AA - Not a winger and doesn't know how to play as a winger. Mowbray - Playing strikers as wingers doesn't work. Everyone knows it doesn't work. Except Mowbray. We are impotent as a result.
  12. Another 7-1 would do me. Them were t'days…
  13. Nope just 'COYB!' Progress...
  14. Indeed. Rovers have been sending texts out this morning to notify fans.
  15. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17315417.willem-tomlinson-set-to-leave-blackburn-rovers-in-january/ “If he starts in League One, or League Two, then he will find himself coveted before too long if he performs at the level he needs to by a Championship club. Let’s hope he can get himself to the Premier League one day. At this moment in his career it’s probably best he finds a new chapter in his career.” You'd think we'd just offer him a new contract and loan him out instead of just getting rid. Obviously the 'personal problems' are still there.
  16. If there's one game a season you can guarantee more interest than normal it's Boxing Day. As a one-off I doubt £40 is a deterrent for fans that don't normally go away or even to Ewood. It's a small price to pay to get away from the family ?
  17. He wouldn't have cost £7m that's for sure.
  18. Nowhere does anyone suggest BB is a 'fraud'. This is why I call you Donald.
  19. All the teams on a good run near the top. We've passed a few tests already this season - Leeds at home stands out. We've also failed a few, the Sheff Utd one especially. Away from home the Derby game was a pass. It's the teams below us we've struggled against. I think we might miss Bennett's ability to close down and set the tempo today. Still fancy us though as we tend to do well against the good footballing sides at Ewood. If that is what Norwich is of course. If they are a big physical team like Sheff Utd/ Rotherham/Millwall we may struggle.
  20. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17312625.no-excuses-for-rovers-after-investment-in-recruitment “Every manager in the world gets judged on his recruitment of players as those are guys that can either win or lose you football matches.” £10m of talent who contribute nothing. 5/10 max
  21. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17312396.rovers-boss-tony-mowbray-keen-to-add-to-squad-in-january/ 'The boss doesn’t expect many additions next month, believing the summer window is the best time to mould his squad' AKA he's spunked all the transfer kitty on BB?
  22. Norwich last 8 away matches - W5 D3 L0 F16 A6 Norwich unbeaten in their last 10 home and away. Home banker. Lump on.
