  1. Let's be honest, Pompey were robbed a bit by some pretty poor refereeing decisions - could have easily gone the other way. Get your overall ppint though.
  2. When do Rovers ever beat a team at the bottom with such a wretched record though? It's got a Plymouth win all over it, even if we had JE.
  3. It's bizarre that it's not been sorted yet, and if he can't agree with Derby I have no idea what we do at that point. He can't leave to talk to another club, miss a crucial game against a team just below us and then waltz back in. Presumably it would also cost us money to fire him too, so I'd be amazed if that happened. It's all a complete and total clown show.
  4. Eh, I think that has far more to do with fixture congestion, heavy injuries and the board never signing players until deadline day if I'm honest, though the mentality of the coach doesn't help of course.
  5. I mean there are multiple things that can be true at once. The board are definitely at fault for fostering a situation where the manager is courting other clubs. We don't know what was agreed and whilst we as fans agree the window wasn't good enough it's impossible to know what was discussed prior. JE is allowed to move to another club if he so wishes, but equally the way it's been done has been disrespectful to the fans and to the players. Some people talking about taking our players - that's assuming they even stay up. Even under JE we were atrocious for a lot of last season and it was only in the last 3 or 4 games including some against teams playing for nothing that we scraped over the line. I'll thank him for his hard work, but like he has no loyalty to us, I have no real loyalty to him either. I wanted him gone after last season, he won me around with some hard work this season, but I won't shed any tears if he drops to League One with Derby.
  6. He was never managing them tonight, probably will be unveiled then though.
  7. I saw someone say "time to get a manager in who can solve the annual post Christmas slump". If it happens under 3 different managers in a row, it's probably no the manager that is the problem! Absolute planks. That said, no side comes out of this come out clean, apart from the fans, who are put through the ringer again.
  8. I saw someone on facebook try to claim Mowbray had less money to spend than JDT and JE and my jaw hit the floor. I find it hard to believe some of them have eyeballs.
  9. After the board statement yesterday I don't think there's any possible way back. That was a "don't let the door hit you in the arse" if I ever saw one.
  10. Johson and Lowe are in charge for WBA as it stands afaik
  11. Wasn't he basically paying Derby and Plymouth to manage them? I think even we can do better than that. Hard, hard pass though.
  12. I agree, free hit for them. If Swag has anything about him he'd go for someone with a bit of pedigree and say "15 games, get us up and the job's yours, we don't go up and you can choose to walk away."
  13. Cooper's Championship win percentage will be much higher, the PL campaign will skew it a bit. In addition, has a 45% win rate at Swansea before that. Very, very good manager at this level.
  14. I expect most managers just give general instructions to their agents and they do the work, giving the manager plausible deniability if it doesn't go through. With the speed this is moving there is no way he wasn't waiting for the call.
  15. I think putting Ccoper in with those two is a tad harsh. Bit of a muppet to be sure but is head and shoulders above them as a manager. Better than Eustace as well.
  16. I'm pretty sure even the board have been clear that the wage budget has been cut significantly in the last few years. What a bizarre thing to argue!
  17. Looking at facebook people are lapping up the club statement, protests won't do anything. Time has permeated into the fanbase and this is our "natural level" for most.
  18. Certainly reads as if it's either promotion this year or National League in 5. Venkys need punting out ASAP - if they can't fund the club at any level they have no business being involved.
  19. The personal connection and proximity to his home will soften the blow I'm sure.
  20. Because a job he wants has come up and the club have basically told him they don't care for his opinion and made no effort to keep him. Most people would walk given the options.
  21. When was the last time Gestede said anything? I don't really remember seeing anything since the summer.
  22. Interesting how they're always in place to replace a manager in minutes but it takes months or even years to replace players.
  23. If he has a buyout clause as is rumoured it won't matter right?
  24. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24921574.eustaces-first-words-blackburn-future-derby-links/?fbclid=IwY2xjawIVpylleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHakxNprr6F0p1FRp4TBDRXITJrUF4ow7EcRvZE9FeOgriQ1D_5tOsdBABg_aem_sBUpY7eTcvHq5uE9HGTBmA If he's wanting assurances for support I doubt he'll get them.
  25. Yep, that's a "goodbye, I'm off" statement if I ever saw one. ffs
