  1. He showed he is a poor player with no end product, which has been consistent with what he seems to be about tbf.
  2. If we could have our first 11 all game we may be able to scrape by. Unfortunately, the rest of the squad is utter guff made up of nobodies and children, so we are going to lose game after game late on. 3 games, 3 poor losses, and no idea where we're going to pick up points.
  3. And this is where our complete lack of squad depth is going to cost us. Again.
  4. We need someone comfortably better than those two rather than "competition". I like Yuki as an impact sub but Gueye is awful.
  5. 0-3 minimum - we'll be chasing shadows.
  6. As much as we look bereft of a plan I don't what anyone is expecting him to do with the garbage he's being given by them upstairs.
  7. He does a couple of sprints a game with no end product, but because he's being compared to Hedges that makes him look like Salah to most people.
  8. I'm not sure why but Montgomery seems to be being forced in as much as possible. Even when he came in last season it seemed to come out of nowhere. I don't have the time to follow the youth teams too closely but usually I'm at least aware of a name before they're thrown in. We've had talent with way more pedigree that have had to work way harder to even get on the bench in the past.
  9. I honestly don't see what anyone sees in him, just throws himself around hoping for the best and half the time it benefits the opposition more than us.
  10. If this is what our League One team would look like it would be a League Two team very quickly after.
  11. This has all the hallmarks of a relegation season. Pasha will love that as he'll get another round of cost-cutting in.
  12. Don't worry, it wasn't a comment on your line-up specifically I agree it's the most likely! It was more an indictment of where the owners have left us.
  13. Not sure if it was posted elsewhere but I saw this last week. If this goes in the direction the players want I expect a lot of clubs are going to be completely unable to compete. Of course for now it is very much up in the air. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cy5prnpy142o
  14. In addition to weaker relegated sides, the promoted sides are likely going to be much stronger than recent years too. Will likely be an exciting promotion race but we'll be nowhere near this time.
  15. Even against a League One team that line-up terrifies me.
  16. There should be an extra 5% added on to every fee for every player that played for us last season as well. What is the record for the number of players moving from one team to another in one transfer window because they're surely close at this point?
  17. On the flip side, everyone is irreplacable because we're bin dipping for players and refuse to replace them with the same quality.
  18. All journalism honestly. The current state of social media and the internet means that it's completely driven to drive clicks, and the easiest way to that is outrage journalism. In sports, there is also the added annoyance of agents and clubs spreading misinformation to unsettle players and clubs alike, and in Rovers' case there is the complete incompetence at our end that allows that to propagate further.
  19. I'm sure there was compilation on here at one point of a bunch of the mistakes made. To be honest, even if you take out the obvious horror shows, the biggest issue with Pears for me has always been his complete inability to handle a cross. So many routine goals conceded over the years just because of that deficiency and the smart teams targeted it.
  20. If previous seasons tell us anything, it isn't necessarily the subs in a fully fit squad that are the problem, it's when we hit the Christmas flurry of fixtures and we lose a few to injury. The current squad is nowhere near the depth required to keep this up over a season. However, if VI can get them up to the right sort of fitness levels it may work for the first few months at least.
  21. An absolute abomination - and copy pasting the same landmarks over and over makes it considerably worse. Whoever did the kits this season should never be allowed near them again - 0/3 are good for a normal season, let alone an anniversary season.
  22. That sentence alone makes them unfit to run a football club.
  23. All of them but JDT and mayyybe Eustace were definitely on the scrapheap at the time they arrived here.
  24. Batth was let go by Sunderland because they improved their squad to challenge for promotion and actually spend money. We clearly have no interest in promotion based on the last 10 years, nor do we have two pennies to rub together, so we're shopping in a completely different basket. He's still leagues ahead of anything it looks like we'll spend on. Doesn't mean he isn't good for our level, just not good enough for teams at the top end with real ambition and financial backing.
