The Summer Transfer Window (Press Submit)

I was told that by Waggott himself, so pretty sure it’s accurate. -

It puts a whole new meaning on Venky's never refuse to sign a Check. Maybe the are also getting someone who can Finnish. -

Both of these amounts were to ensure the liabilities were met, so no doubt some of that included paying HMRC. Waggott did confirm to me, that all due tax had been paid up to the turn of the year and also advised that there were enough funds available in November, to ensure all payments were made, to the end of February. To my knowledge, no money have been sent by Venky's since November, although we are led to believe that funds have been requested. -

It is strange really, as they had to pay into the bond for the two tranches sent last year. It is as though they have had the frighteners put on them now and maybe that's because they are less convinced than what they were, that this money will come back to them. As I posted earlier and have posted a few times before too, one of the conditions, for returning the bond is that the money is used for the purpose stated and they have stated that is it to protect their investment, which in my view is very miss leading. -

I guess the title of this thread could be changed to, who will we sell and not replace this window? -

Where are those odds? I saw 9/2 yesterday and thought that was generous. -

I guess there could be three outcomes here. 1. The court agree to allow them to send funds with no further requirement for a bond and that's then up to the owners if they continue. 2. They allow funding to continue funding on the basis that they carry on paying the equivalent amount into a bond 3. They stop them from funding all together. The very fact that they have been made to pay into a bond in order for the last 2 payments to be made, must mean someone does not trust them and if the court are investigating this as fully as it seems, then I think I am going for number 3. -

I am well aware of what he is saying. -

I am pretty confident that the court will deny any further funding. As, I have previously stated, the owners have stated that they are using the funds sent last year, since the requirement for court permission was made, to" protect their investment". I am 100% certain that the court have been made aware that the value of the club is way less than the £200m sent so far and therefore that statement is at best miss leading. There are other things that I am sure they are considering too and with it being a complex web they have spun, it is not in the least bit surprising that the adjournment was to August from an initial date in January. over a seven month gap, for what would have been essential funding had AW not been sold, simply does not stack up. The stack of cards is about to tumble and the latest musings from Elliott Jackson seem to add more weight to that thought. -
'Great Expectations' for the new Season?
lraC replied to SIMON GARNERS 194's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The bookies have us at 9/2 to go down and I think that's about right as we speak, but come the court hearing, I would expect the odds to drop significantly. -

Sounds like you could be the perfect understudy for Leo, if you fancy a move abroad. -

Will anyone there be providing updates on here, as I believe there is no stream. I am out of the UK but as always, will be tuning in to see how it is going, so any updates will be appreciated. -

I could be wrong, but wonder if he is told what to report on and say at times. There was once an accidental quote left in one of his articles, which said please remove. It was thought that came from the club, hence thinking what i have here. -
Sacked form where and what did he say?

Let's keep these figures firmly in our thoughts, as there is no excuse, other than the issues with the court hearing, that we have been told, isn't really an issue. -
I have just had a look on Rovers TV and as already advised, by previous posters, the international pass it available again next year. It seems strange that the club have not sent E Mails out to people like me, who subscribed last year. I have pasted the details below for those who are abroad and want to watch the games live, that are available. Seasonal Video Pass Watch eligible Blackburn Rovers matches during the 2024/25 Sky Bet Championship season with an 11-month subscription. This pass is only available to those outside the United Kingdom and Ireland.

I have my VPN in place for that very reason and used it when necessary last season. I was travel sick by the end of the season. 🙂 I find the price good value for money for all the home and away games, so will probably renew it again.

Something keeps them coughing up and I have always held the opinion it is due to them having something hidden.
-
Thanks for that. I think the slight worry is the availability when the game is on Sky, as last season that meant Rovers TV didn’t show it in certain countries. I’m in Spain most of the year, so probably need to check out how many games I can get before buying it.

Just done this and can highly recommend it. -
The interesting thing here is what they have told the court. They have stated that if they are prevented from sending further funds, then it means they can no longer protect their investment. Hopefully the court and the Indian authorities will see through that and perhaps, the fact that they have stated that already and funded a bond that will be seized, if what they have stated is not correct could be their tipping point. They can hardly say they are protecting and investment, when all it does is swallow up the funds they put in and produce a negative return.
-
I do agree and was meaning that the club reconsider their no comment stance, rather than reinstating any players they have let going. Despite no clear announcement about a reduction in funding, it seems pretty clear that this is the case.

Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
lraC replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Exactly, so he went to those extremes last time, so clearly didn't like it. Step it up again, as anyone who was appeased by the meeting, must surely see, that things are now even worse.
