  1. Just finished The Last Dance (finally). Previously, the extent of my basketball knowledge was gleaned only from Space Jam and I thought Michael Jordan was incredible on that little bit. Watching The Last Dance, there's no doubt in my mind, he's the greatest athlete that's ever lived.
  2. The famous 'wine metaphor' has helped so many friends of mine understand who they are. It's a wholesome show in almost every way, right down to two men finding love in a normal way and just being a couple without having to battle for it. I also learned what folding meant re: cooking
  3. Interesting documentary about the Chicago Bulls and the roles of Jordan and Rodman, called 'The Last Dance'. FYI, Schitt's Creek now available on All4 as well as Netflix, well worth a watch as an uplifting light comedy series.
  4. Good job the bar was shut...
  5. Hole in one! 3rd hole at Oak Royal, Withnell.
  6. You should! Really enjoyed a spoiled walk
  7. Put simply, football cannot return while stadiums are empty. Can't have Burnley being given such a weighty advantage!
  8. Played at Oak Royal. Gone back to my old clubs, too. Couldn't settle with Cobra F7s so back to my Ping Zing 2s
  9. Doesn't work when wife's a teacher: 'Well do it again until you get it right.'
  10. Playing golf today! On my todd, like, but can't wait for my tee time
  11. I look forward to his Wipes, always so well written.
  12. Last season of Schitt's Creek available on Netflix from today. Really recommend it as a light comedy that manages to be 'real' rather than full of pure sitcom tropes. Not 'must watch', but well-written and easy to watch, with great comic leads in Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara.
  13. I'm thrilled to bits! Don't think I'll risk playing with a mate just yet, but I'll ask Mrs E to caddy for me, or if she wants to learn to play herself
  14. I seem to remember an Italian sounding kid being prolific. Rafael?
  15. Watched AfterLife on Netflix. I'm not remotely a fan of Gervais' comedy, but AfterLife is a brilliant and brutally honest portrait of grieving imo.
  16. It was, and as a big fan of I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, I'm disappointed in myself for it!
  17. Perhaps I should bore my wife more often ?
  18. Tried to find the old good news thread but no luck, so thought I'd start afresh. Post any good news you fancy sharing (no matter how small) to distract from the doom and gloom. NO POLITICKING! I'll go first: Finally fixed the drip in the sink last week.
  19. Loving 'Save Me' on Sky atmo. Up to episode 5.
  20. Even pre-massive money though, it seemed a relatively rare thing for a top star to go into coaching.
  21. Shows you the calibre of player to put in a MOTM performance at 38 out of position.
  22. I often wonder this, why do top stars rarely go into further footy careers? My suspicion is that top stars have achieved what they wanted, whereas lesser players perhaps still have goals that they need to achieve albeit vicariously through coaching and management?
  23. Easy to say when not in that position though.
  24. Sam Lloyd has now died ? immortal to my generation as the pathetic hospital lawyer in Scrubs ?
