A Lenihan deal is vital imo. If not, we'll have to be in the playoffs as a minimum just to keep him imo.

I think it was the Northern Rail fiasco.

The issue with a Rooney rule (not that I'm fully conversant in how it works) is box-ticking can be twisted. Eg: As a deaf person in teaching (I can speak and hear perfectly fine, but with hearing aids), I often felt I was being interviewed because I was ticking the 'disabled' box. When I stopped ticking the box, I got significantly fewer interviews and the mood noticeably soured once the interviewer realised I wore hearing aids. It became apparent that schools were using me to prove they interviewed disabled candidates. In schools I worked at on supply I was constantly being assumed as unable to hear children even though I could, and there was no obvious reason for this to be assumed other than lack of deaf awareness. Box-ticking it gets you to the interview stage. But based on my own experience, you quickly get drained of your confidence by not getting jobs and it appears to be the case with BAME in footy.

Jon Stead from L2 Huddersfield to PL Rovers. Keith Andrews from NEWLY PROMOTED L1 MK Dons I think, so technically direct from L2.

Re: Downing, I view him like I viewed Zurab in our Prem years. Never going to be better than our first teamers but a great cover defender.

Another cb for 3 at the back maybe?

Funnily enough, his strength is probably what impressed me so much vs Oxford. Maybe he'd been able to rest post-promotion and so the benefit finally showed. If he plays like he did vs Oxford every game, he could be a very useful versatile forward.

We've benefited massively from such deals. Samba, Nelsen, NZonzi.

'There's more than black or white! Not everything has to be great or shit! There are shades of grey you know!' 'I know I'm looking at 15 of them when I look at you.'

Official shirt sponsor with sponsorless option upon purchase

I think it's as simple as a proper battle for the jersey. If Raya drops a bollock, Fielding straight in. Vice versa.

Tour of the other inbred counties? Next stop the Home Counties, finishing in Norfolk.

When you read his reasoning, it just makes the Scum look even more stupid.

I've heard of forums being echo chambers but this is ridiculous!

It's only £50 twice, and £50 'isn't a lot of money'... ?

Only JAL could think the nearest player we have to World Class should be on the bench.
-
He mentions 'substantial enough for quality buys' even if kept within the club's wage structure. Also got a feeling Arma will be a loan again rather than a buy. Hunch.

Am I right in thinking Pardew has only just finished being paid off by Newcastle because of his weird 5yr contract?
-
Well Lenihan is practically begging for a new contract, and Mulgrew is unlikely to get better money at this level of competition at his age. Only ? is over Dack and that's only because of his Mrs. He's untested at this level and adored here, I just hope he doesn't do a Bentley and squirm an opportunity with us.
-
Precisely... ah @#/? ?
-
There's no point to miss JAL, you simply hate players under the age of 23 who appear for Rovers.
-
I think Nuttall would be a good player if he worked on his strength more. His main issue seems to be in holding off defenders imo. Otherwise, he's a reasonable player and his performances for the u23s suggest he knows where the net is.

Scottish goalkeepers are renowned for being shite tbf.

Nurse, he's out of bed again!

40 is a good number but there are a minimum of 150 players who get on the pitch every year in Scotland. So as I say MOST (110/150) don't have what it takes for a CAREER (not just a season or two) in the Championship or Premier League. It's not a criticism of Scotland, just Scottish football. Look how hard it is currently even for English players to be good enough for the PL. English football isn't doing great either.
