  1. I may be right or wrong, but I’d put forward a couple of reasons: 1. It’s an about turn from the critical friend stance, so would likely require a mandate from their membership. 2. The Trust has lots of ties to the Football Governance Bill (Tracey Crouch even used some prose directly lifted from submissions by Trust members), and it would be professionally difficult to simultaneously be in prime position to form a shadow board AND adversarial towards the club regardless of anyone’s personal feelings. 3. There are rules and regulations that govern what WATR is actually allowed to do (and crucially HOW to do it) due to their specific status as a company/charity (I’m not knowledgeable enough on the specifics). Other groups do not have the above to contend with and are essentially fan groups. If there were one group I would understand not explicitly breaking with the club JUST NOW (I’m certain there are straws that would shatter this camels multiple herniated discs), it is WATR. I would hazard a guess that their AGM (can’t be far off now? June ish?) will be something for people to look out for if there is any stance change.
  2. Have WATR actually been invited to join up? Has someone from your side reached out?
  3. Yeah told them he’d see them in court about 10 years ago…
  4. I’m sick of fucking ‘rebuilding’, we’ve been doing that since League One. Let’s ACTUALLY FUCKING BUILD instead of redoing the foundations and adding more cracks every time.
  5. Players are all arguing about who has the shittest owners.
  6. Ismael booked. Rovers fans in JWL started chanting off off off 🤣
  7. Before the club puts out any statement about rounding on the young lads, we’ve been nothing but supportive.
  8. Reminds me of a joke: Blackburn Rovers were reported to be playing football with a hedgehog. The hedgehog won 2-0.
  9. Went to get my pie when they scored. Already sat back down. Ewood is fucking empty.
  10. There’s no spark to rally the crowd either against Venkys or to support the team. We really are ‘Deadwood’ at the moment. At least I can wait til half time to go and queue for my pie.
  11. Ismael needs to paint himself silver and go and stand on the South Bank in London, he’d make a fortune.
  12. The fact you physically read ‘ROVERS’ is a damning indictment of how much Venkys have fucked fans over:
  13. Feels empty with how loud Sheff Weds fans are.
  14. I can’t but I know some believed InsideRover to be him
  15. Anyone not giving SOME credit to WATR really should do so. I’m happy to criticise from what happened when I left, but their dissent (as one of only two fan groups the club were actively and regularly engaging with) will have caused significant consternation with Waggott and Pasha in particular. WATR could easily go full nuke with info Waggott has given them, and withdrawal of an MoU (even if people don’t think it’s worth the paper it’s written on) would be a significant movement against the club if it happened. I’m sure their demand for Pasha to come out of the shadows will have been laced with ’or else’ in private. This all will have laid significant groundwork for Glen and his coalition to REALLY hit them as they have in the last two weeks. All are deserving of credit in getting us to this stage imo.
  16. Have I read that properly, and did that really happen?
  17. 34 years total in the second division, 6 years total in the third. Venkys are responsible for a third of that in only 15 years at the club.
  18. Can’t get the link to work (yours works, so mean the tweet).
  19. @Silas posted acronyms in the other thread in jest, but it occurred to me: Could FUBAR be a simple, universally understood slogan for our protests?
  20. Protect Rory at all costs
  21. I was attracted in 1999, if that’s any hope?
  22. Only if I get a free ticket, and happy to shout Venkys Out between each player announcement at the start 😅
  23. I heard the David Lowe thing from one of Dunny’s previous assistants at another club when he came to us as a driver during Covid. Can’t remember the exactly under which manager it happened, but I was told that Lowe was removed by someone in charge as part of the backroom staff (possibly when Lambert or Coyle was manager?) and rehired directly by Balaji Rao. Then he randomly got promoted to Asst Manager when Mowbray came in, and signed a new deal with the club in June 2017. It never occurred to me until this has started coming out through other channels, but could it be that Lowe is (in Venky minds) superior to Pasha?
