  1. So you’re telling me Lenihan, Rothwell, Nyambe, Brereton weren’t any good at the point they left us?
  2. Hardly lying is it? Imo, Travis only looked like a captain during February last year and at no other time. He’s capable but that’s about it imo. He’s one player that I’m happy to ‘replace’ with Garrett (who does the same job and imo marks better without the needless gobbiness at refs) or an incoming. On Ayari, I have no opinion tbh. Bit underwhelmed.
  3. He did loan in Hill in the first place tbf. And the only player brought in Travis’ position is Tronstad, an undoubted upgrade.
  4. I also thought he made a very good villain in Rush Hour. Personally think the best scene from Full Monty is Hot Stuff in the dole queue 😂
  5. I have uncovered a signed shirt, and I believe it’s from the 11/12 season 😭😅 Can you name the signatures on it? No prizes, just a bit of fun (playing fast and loose with that definition). Yes, he who must not be named is on there…
  6. Happy Christmas and best wishes to everyone celebrating your particular holiday! Hope Father Christmas brings you what you want!
  7. My guess is that they sell so well because ‘4000 holes’ is a nice and subtle nod to the town without being an overbearing logo. Similarly, my favourite Rovers shirts (aside from my dad’s signed 94/95 shirt) are 2 from BRFCS and one from Football Town, because they’re well-made and a discussion point. Even my Dingle FIL has one because of the quality of material (I didn’t tell him there’s a Burnley version…)
  8. Thought it was spot on! Any chance of uploading it as a list to Spotify for me to pinch?
  9. If I remember rightly, Chads advocates signing Healey for the last couple of years. Found out why 😣
  10. What a tackle from Tronstad to get the ball back in our half. Nothing came of it but it was genuinely superb.
  11. Controversial opinion: The pie, mash, peas, gravy for £7.50 is worth it! Bloody delicious every time I’ve had it. Goes best with the steak pie or the chicken balti pie. Just wish they’d include a soft drink or pint for £10 to round it off.
  12. I sat in corporate for the Leeds game and the compere said we had just under 1500 across the Premier Suite and Jack’s Kitchen, if that’s any reference?
  13. When I wrote the first draft of the Marketing Prospectus produced by Rovers Trust (now WATR), the mantra I had in mind (and added as a subheading) was: Make it as easy as possible to support Blackburn Rovers. I have no marketing experience or qualifications or anything like that. I just mix with fans of all clubs every day, and know what ideals can be pragmatically worked towards or even achieved. No different from any fan. Why the FUCK are the club not paying attention? I WANT to give you my money, but you’re making it bloody difficult!
  14. Miracle in Cell 7 On Netflix, a Turkish film so use English subtitles. Please don’t let it put you off, as it’s up there with Shawshank or Green Mile. A brilliant story beautifully told.
  15. I hope the compromising pics of @wilsdenrover were salacious enough?
  16. Explains why BRFCS is so fucking difficult to use 😉
  17. I was in the room with John and Dunc when he said it. It was in that meeting he kept going on about NFTs, and look at all the lawsuits about NFTs now! So glad he left.
  18. No that was his twat of a predecessor, Paul Fielder. Fraser Reed, while younger, has a much better head on his shoulders.
  19. I often have this argument where you sometimes get a plastic cup and a paper straw. Should be a paper cup and a plastic straw, better plastic/paper ratio and easier to drink!
  20. I first came across Braugher as a therapist opposite Hugh Laurie in House, and felt the character could’ve led its own series! 4 years later I met Mrs E, she introduced me to B99 and one of the best takes on the archetypal ’straight man’ in modern comedy (possibly ever). Manages to be stoic and silly (a corgi called Cheddar, BONE!!!!, laughing hysterically at the ‘desk moved a half-inch prank’) all at once, and brings the exact right amount of gravitas to the moments that needed it. Captain Holt is a superb character that provided real VIN-DI-CA-TION!!!! to Braugher’s career.
