  1. Like you, I watched the Phillips saga unfold. You’re suggesting he had the best advice and acted on it, and everything else was an issue created by the club, which anyone with an ounce of clarity knows is nonsense. You do it with every scenario.
  2. Funnily enough, do you know who Boro’s top earner is? Sort of proves your point on this post. a Clue: he likes big diagonal balls!
  3. This sort of weird conspiratorial thing is so fucking boring. If you genuinely think the owners have any plans beyond setting arbitrary budgets, then you need help.
  4. You also posted earlier in the week that he signed a new contract.
  5. Club plants! I find your paranoia hilarious btw. You called anyone else Rudy today?
  6. I’m obviously not making the point that Venkys et al should be able to own us, Jack Walker was the complete opposite!
  7. Because they’ve given time and hours to the town?
  8. Baradji has played a lot on the right wing from what I’ve admittedly googled! However the video with him scoring with both feet from outside the box, cutting in from both sides was quite impressive.
  9. I guess anyone prepared to pay £12 for a jacket spud with cheese and beans will likely lap it up!
  10. Just read that Preston’s shirt is £70 and their shorts £40…. What a time to be alive.
  11. Jack Walker, aka someone invested in the town prior to owning the club? Why shouldn’t they be allowed to own it?
  12. I don’t agree but fair enough. I’ve always tried to steer clear from rabbit holes and such! Considering Millwall reported their staff costs for 24/25 as 25 million, maybe they’re up to the same game?
  13. Do you mean the Indian court case? Or Rovers specific financial reports. The simple point is lots of money we’ve received in sales has plugged a gap between other revenue and the wage bill.
  14. https://www.millwallfc.co.uk/news/2025/march/14/millwall-football-club-submit-annual-report-and-financial-statements/ yet reported a 19m loss?
  15. They’re not interested, they set arbitrary budgets and let unqualified shits run the club from the top. I don’t think they have any answers or knowledge of day to day running of the club. Still the question remains, is this unspent boon sat in the bank, or is it partially already spent on wages, scheduled for next seasons deficit?
  16. I’ve never once said we have skint owners, we have disinterested shysters. The point that seemingly is impossible for you and few others: Our biggest outlay is wages, aka money spent on the football team, the squad. The accounts are facts. Nobody is arguing for or against their ownership here, the point is that the money made from sales is being used on the football side. If it isn’t, then where is it?
  17. https://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/2025/february/27/news--coventry-city-football-club-limited-file-accounts-for-year-ended-31st-may-2024/ Doesn’t read like a club run by shits does it? But also doesn’t change the facts on both balance sheet. They are growing their turnover as well as investing in new players. So is our money sitting in the bank then or what?
  18. So the club is sitting with millions in the bank? I agree with all the facts regarding poor decisions with contracts, negligent owners and directors but ultimately, where has this money gone if it’s not propping up barely competitive wage structure?
  19. If your wage bill is 20m, and your turnover is 10m. What do you think plugs that gap? Especially if you’ve got skint or absent owners? Player sales. I also don’t understand how you split transfer fees and wages as if they’re not intrinsically linked. Of course, Venkys should either invest or fuck off but that’s not got anything to do with saying that none of the money from player sales has been invested.
  20. Nice of teams to give us Van Veen, Tavares, Cantwell, Kargbo, Ohashi, Gueye et al for free isn’t it! Before you reply with another single sentence “tbh”, if you spent some time reading how much our meagre wage bill compares to our turnover, you might be able to offer more nuance to discussion.
  21. You won’t find a post praising the owners or directors from me. It’s their fault the turnover is pitiful, and players are walking for free. The point I made, and make again - the total wage bill for the club is money spent on football. Todd Cantwell’s price might’ve been £500k but if his wage is 1m+ a season, that’s investing money the club has earned one way or another, back in to the team. Do I wish the “billionaires” would put them maximum they could in? Yes probably, as that would be the quickest way to them being able to sell us. We all want rid.
  22. Don’t think I or anyone would argue that the well thought out decisions had been made throughout their tenure. The point I was making is without investment from the owners, all of the money coming in is going on a wage bill not even top half of the championship. Therefore spent on the team.
  23. It all depends on the money in the bank though, are you trying to compare us to a parachute payment team, or a city with larger turnover and/or ambitious owners? Id love for the Rao’s to fuck off like anyone here, but just shutting down any sales conversation with a “the money disappears tbh” makes this thread even more pointless. Especially when the facts regarding our finance are available for anyone to read.
