  1. Coyle is stigmatised by his Burnley connection plus being a very poor manager and paying little attention to defence. Reminds me of someone else. He wasn't at Rovers long enough to exert any real 'control' over the Club and was binned as soon as the Vs actually realised we were headed to relegation. The one Mowbray himself admits he failed to save us from. Kean was a lapdog for those who 'ran' the Club at that time. Mowbary with his cohorts, appointed by Mowbary, have ingrained themselves into the Ewood woodwork and are untouchables. It's like comparing a single dog shit with piles of turd to compare Coyle with Kean and Mowbray on the long term damage to the Club. And yet even yesterday I read on this MB that Mowbray still has credit in the Bank! Some just never ever learn.
  2. Thanks and I've now bookmarked that link! So our billionaire owners could just sign the cheque if they were asked to.
  3. Is money spent on pitch repair outside of FFP?
  4. This wasted money could have gone towards the previously promised total upgrade to the pitch at Ewood which, due to financing restraints, has now been jettisoned for a 'make-do' repair. As the incumbent managers hearts desire is to play a tippy tappy game this makes the decision not to upgrade even more odd but does leave him with an excuse when the pitch degrades during next season ... as it undoubtedly will.
  5. Kean was a lapdog of those who appointed him. I doubt he had to lie about anything to them. They knew exactly what they were getting. Mowbray was appointed through the dodgy 'agent' system favoured by Vs with the added plus of being into land sales. Both are highly skilled liars and scum.
  6. How many Clubs having had bad owners have actually disappeared completely? How many Clubs of Rovers stature and history have actually disappeared completely? Meanwhile Clubs in Leagues below us with little or no history continue to be bought. The only way we disappear is if Vs force it that way whilst ignoring other options. They are a mean spirited spiteful family so that could happen.
  7. There will be another re-set to ''Year 1'' soon. The pandemic, loss of income and major outgoings will be some of the reasons given for the failure of ''Year 1 Mk1'' which was in the real world Year 4......I think......its all a bit confusing for an oldie.....
  8. Morbary this morning, allegedly: '' I haven't checked the Table. When does next season start? I live a long way from home, can I have a lift Stewy, you can have a new contract. Oh and crack on with Brockhall Maggs''
  9. It's in the most recent article and a frequent claim of his. Apparently Yarm is a long way away from Blackburn. IF 90 miles is so far then he could always move nearer to his home. His choice. How TF did he survive living in Coventry. It's in England FFS, I spent a working lifetime thousands of miles from home earning the corn so he has NO sympathy from me. If it's so far he is then actually inflicting harm on to all his Boro signings? I think not. Man's a compulsive BS merchant and liar and makes me puke.
  10. What is he on. This is where we are, there is no maybe about it. No acknowledgement that he has run things to put us where we are. BUT he works a long way from home................... He needs help. I mean that. It's one thing being owned by nutters but when the day to day stuff is in similar hands then we are well stuffed.
  11. Did I say I thought he was wrong? No. Its just that football has a way of delivering a kick back to those who run their mouths from insecure ground. BUT not on this Earth are Pompey a bigger club than us - just for the record.
  12. Beat me to it and much more politely. I was going to say something along the lines of Cowleys 'Big Club' aspirations got a kick in the balls by (little*) Accy. * no disrespect intended to Accy.
  13. The week beginning 10th or 17th? I am not being pedantic but Mondays are generally viewed as the beginning of a week and Rovers are also good at time and date resetting. Just trying to manage my hopes and whatever the time frame I hope you are right.
  14. Overall just about the most depressing season I can recall in 60+ years as a fan of Rovers. Owners - Board - Manager - certain Coaches all get it from me. The sense of almost helplessness going forward under the above crap is frightening. We have played much worse and have experienced hard times and relegation but never before I have felt so detached from the essence of what the Club always meant to me. Now I just view the shambles as ignorant spiteful owners, dodgy management and journeymen players. Give me Bobby Saxton or Don Mackay with not a pot to piss in any day.
  15. Downing was there in some sort of coaching capacity. I wonder if he is still being paid as a player or picking up a wedge for being a pretend player and a (trainee?) coach. It is Rovers after all and we like to take care of spent merchandise especially from Mowbrays love club. What a shambles. The game itself bored me rigid. I thought I'd died and gone to hell. Like looking at the worst of Rovers but being played by kids.
  16. “I tried to change the mentality of this football team that we’d come up from League One and sitting in mid-table might have been alright for us while we acclimatised to the league but we have to move on, move the parameters'' The liar re-writing history. I could almost believe that we had spent decades in L1 and didn't keep most of the squad together, and yet I know we have those who will believe that we had to 'acclimatise' to the heady heights of the Championship. No shame whatsoever. No apologies and no comprehension that he may be the problem. Are we back to Year One?
  17. This is the man who messed up very badly in a 2 team league. Think about that. It takes some doing. I wonder what the Clubs PR budget is? Posters on the LT, all over Social Media like a bad rash - doesn't come cheap unless maybe outsourced to a country with a history of call centres and cheap wages.
  18. First point - Mowbrays career stats show he is not a 'survival' manager. He's actually quite good at leading or preparing teams to relegation. Second point - How on God's good Earth can a manager be deemed a survival ace when he cannot organise a defence, doesn't do set play coaching and is indifferent to the Table. That poster has Plant(pot) written all over IT
  19. They will not even give him a Zoom call! He lays out the food chain though: Owners-Pasha-Maggot-Mowbray I wonder when the 'often' phone calls of Mowbray to Pune stopped................LoL He lies for a living. He will though be carefully calculating the budget to ensure there is enough for another Downing year. He is making me fucking ill.
  20. in other news, in the Europa Cup, Villareal CF from a Spanish provincial of just 50,000 population see off the mighty Arsenal, whose main claim to fame is an overinflated ego and a nice shirt. There but for a coat of paint.
  21. Touchel breaking the rules and comfortably winning a game with just 32% possession. A bloody travesty .... or so Mowbray thinks, imo. TBH I love it when its proved comprehensively that TM is a bellend
  22. We got promoted into the PL We were not a driving force behind the set up. Without checking the instigators were the usual suspects of Arsenal, Man U, Liverpool, Spurs and coat-hangers. Urban myth has it was all sketched out on Arsenal letter-headed paper.
