  1. What is annoying is Stoke are really shite, haven’t created anything, leave space at the back and only scored cos Hyam gifted them the ball. You watch it thinking you could still win this.
  2. Sanderson clearly didn’t watch Sheff Wednesday at home last year, firing that straight back at Pears and on target.
  3. I bet in November we never thought we would justifiably be watching Big Mak looking around thinking “I’m too good for this lot”
  4. lol. Where Forshaw running to there when Cantwell gives that foul away.
  5. Isnt that the keeper we were linked with in the summer but didn’t pursue because we would have had to spend some of the Wharton money. Got Toth instead.
  6. The point I think being that if Cantwell got sent off it would just be for petulance. It’s not worth the risk.
  7. Dolan, Evans and Bennett were probably playing games for Rovers at around their level - lower Championship. Lowe played them when he was clearly playing a level or two above what he should have been playing at.
  8. Forshaw still starting games shows what a car crash of a January window it was. The fact he's up against Baker in midfield just rubs it in. However call me a crazy fool, but I don't think we will lose this. May even nick it.
  9. Swag will just up and leave out of the blue into retirement bliss. Be it this summer or possibly next. His job is to keep doing what he is doing and try and avoid getting a hard time from the fans doing it. There’s no-one pushing for a long term plan at Ewood as the person who should be doing that knows he isn’t going to be around to implement it.
  10. What worries me about the 3 year contract is that if things do go seriously pear-shaped it makes it even less likely we will get rid. My guess is that as far as managers pay goes, we were offering a very low amount but trying to attract with a longer contract.
  11. Get over it and stop the crying like several others on here. He instilled a togetherness, but that wasn’t being reciprocated by the club who refused to discuss contracts with the players, with Eustace or stick to their word with regards to investment and bringing players in. Key back room staff are coming in then leaving within months. In that scenario, why should Eustace see out the remaining 16 months of his contract in an environment where relationships with those above are straining (like JDT) and his reputation is probably only going to decline due to lack of support (see Forshaw for Baker). He’s not. He’s going to take the sensible option for himself, for both for his mental well-being (not having to work with and clash with liars), his financial well-being (better wage and longer contract) and his future career (under these owners it’s only one way for him and his reputation at Ewood). But you, and several others, think he should ignore that and continue putting up with Suhail, Waggot and co because you feel let down. You’re problem Chaddy is you believe everything anyone says who you regard as ‘official’, whether it’s Eustace, Waggot, Nixon or whoever. If you lived in the real world you would know that for all the talk of togetherness Eustace was unhappy behind the scenes. It was hinted at on here for months by posters. And you would know that no manager is going to come on live tv and say “yeah I’ve spoken speaking to Derby and if everything is agreed I should be off tomorrow”. The problem now is you have to find an angle to slate the ex-employee and not the club, so you are more mad at Eustace for his interview before the wolves game rather than Suhail and Waggot for letting another over-achieving manager walk out the door because of the rotten state of the club off the pitch.
  12. For me he looked a bad appointment on paper. Him and Karanka were my two definite no’s from when they were linked. Therefore I’m not surprised questions are being asked so early after no wins. Remember we were told that being in the top 6 and a chance for instant glory was a big selling point of the job. Therefore when we finish 10th or similar I don’t want it dressed up as “yeah but what did you expect”. Ultimately Eustace was let down by no quality being brought in, and ending January weaker in midfield than we started it. Ismael now has to play the same hand (albeit he has Travis and Tronstadt fit). It’s Waggot, Suhails and the owners fault Eustace isn’t here and ultimately their fault if we go backwards from here. VI would be just an effect of those three.
  13. Albeit without Travis, Ohashi and Tronstadt available. Like with JDT his worst run came during the worst spell of injuries and a non-event of a transfer window to help out. I was always hoping that once we got the proper midfield back we would go back to more like the pre-Christmas form.
  14. Join us LIVE and EXCLUSIVE on Sky Sports from Ewood Park on Friday 4th April as we present ……. the battle for 9th place.
  15. Reread the post you quoted please. Just saves me typing it out again in reply.
  16. Reading, Crawley, Walsall and Grimsby fans who are no longer going to bother going to the match as it's been moved. 🤷‍♂️
  17. Yeah, yeah ,deflective self-centred waffle. But it was Sky that wanted more games and the only way the clubs would get more money was accepting their proposal. Therefore both Sky TV and the clubs are to blame for inconveniencing fans this much.
