So Villa probably werent in the mix until late March. Im not saying we cant get there.
-
Bristol City have been in the play offs for many months already this season, and had they won any of their last two games would have been back in there. I never said you had to be in the top 6.
-
Therefore evrryone down to about QPR is "in the mix". And Preston are still "in the mix" for automatic promotion.
-
Even Cryer is having a pop at him now.
-
You have asked a question whilst quoting the answer ?
-
How far down the league would you define as being "In the Mix" at this current time? I'd say to Bristol City, as they have already been there and have been dislodged by Preston. Down to Derby probably have a chance of challenging, but aren't really in the mix. We are always 2 or 3 games off breaking into the top 6 IF results go our way.

Jim has pinned it to try and save face. When he realises he can't save face he will be bottom-feeding by quoting people off here again.
-
Been (and still am) a big critic but that was by far and away his most effective performance today.
-
No. That's close to getting "in the mix". We are always at a stage where "if we win today and win next game we will be top 6". Most people believe we have a chance of getting into the play offs if we hit a constant run of form. Most people don't believe we will get there.

Tosin has proved an excellent loan signing. Personally I never got the Cunningham appreciation though.
-
Travis probably. He's the most niggly, irritating player we have had in a long while and does like to leave a bit of 'afters' in with a tackle.

I have given you an answer to the questions which you ask above already. However I didn't get an answer from you last night on the question I asked You said that the article should have been written "either when Gallagher was out injured or at the end of the season"? I asked (now 6 times) why that article should have been written previously when he was injured or at the end of the season, but not this week.
-
I don't think I'm getting an answer on this am I ?
-
Because a lot of people were surprised that we dropped Samuel, who had played well, to return Gallagher to a role where he isnt a goal threat. Therefore Sharpe writes an article asking if Gallaghers role is about other than goals. This has been explained. For the fourth time, why was it not the time to write the article?
-
And many fans also disagree. Hence why Sharpe wrote an opinion piece to highlight the different opinions. I'll ask for the third time. Why was it the wrong time to write that article?
-
Why not? Its been pointed out that SG returning and going straight back in the side was contentious. Many thought he didn't contribute again. Therefore as it reflected the opinion of the fans and the topics surrounding the club at this time, why was it the wrong time to write the article? If the answer is 'because it might upset the players' then that is not Sharpe's problem. If he had gone over the top, or been out of order, then that's different but it's not like he expressing an opinion which is not fairly prevalent.
-
Why?
-
Gallagher was awful last night in the first half, and only slightly better in the second. The biggest gripe on this message board is why, on the back of two decent performances, we dropped Samuel to put Gallagher back on the wing. In fairness to Sharpe, he probably knows this and felt it was worth writing a fairly balanced article on it.
-
That doesn't mean he is right though. The fact Graham has even commented tells me he knows Gallagher is under pressure, as he can see his contribution isnt up to scratch. In fact, all he has done is highlight this even more.

https://www.flashscore.com/football/england/championship/standings/ Overall, home and away form for full season. Plus form tables (overall / home / away) over last 5, 10, 15 and 20 games.

Maybe the negative reactions get filtered out by my brain but I've skipped through this morning and I didn't see anything OTT. We were poor for the majority of the game, Gallagher was a strange selection and we did resort to tapping it around at the back and then hoofing it for Armstrong a lot in the first half. It was a very poor, limited display, What frustrated me was how long it took before we changed it. We were better 2nd half but still not good enough. And yet we didn't change it until 79 minutes. ! I'm sure in the league one campaign, when we had a poor half, Mowbray made substitutions at half time. I remember some games where we had made all changes by 65 minutes and we were concerned in case we picked up an injury. However last night we just persevered despite the fact we had only created one chance in the second half , and had a few powered puff efforts from outside the box.

It aint over but there are only 11 games left. These good points against Boro and Brentford, and last nights point, are going to be pretty ineffective if we never actually get to the top 6. If we are 5 points behind with 3 games left, and manage to gain a point over the subsequent round of games, it's won't be great. Remember, we don't just have to be 3 points better than Preston and 1 point better than Bristol City over the next 11 games. We also have to be as good as Swansea, 2 points better than Millwall, 2 points better than Cardiff. From where we are lingering, you cannot just 'limp' into 6th. Games at home have to be targeted as wins, otherwise people will be disappointed.

And Cardiff / Forest drawing with each other.

Had we had VAR, our penalty may still have stood. But there's definitely wouldn't. That's the difference. -

I wouldnt be happy ascId be blaming Walton for being a bit thick. Do you think Rayas action stops Buckley running after the ball?
