  1. There’s the first ‘WTF is VAR doing” decision of the season. It’s a clear foul on Welbeck in the box.
  2. I was annoyed with Nyambe leaving, but Lenihan got away with his reputation at Rovers when he was just as culpable as Mulgrew for those defensive collapses a few seasons back. Wharton, Ayala and JPVH have far more bottle than Lenihan in sense of keeping their composure under pressure. We just need a replacement, which TM could never manage to get
  3. If you went to the QPR game as a walk on you get that cost reduced from the price of a season ticket if you buy one now. 2 wins from 2 and top of the league. Rovers should have that message plastered across every social media channel possible tomorrow.
  4. If we sack Mowbray who are we going to realistically get? Who’d want to come and manage Rovers?
  5. Cos no individuals have ever shamed Burnley. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4506670/Man-accused-having-sex-dog.html
  6. After having a piss-weak midfield for a couple of seasons, Smallwood was a breath of fresh air when he turned up in league one. Admittedly it was at a lower level so we’re not comparing like for like. The difference is when we got back in the Championship practically every one of us agreed that Smallwood could and should be improved upon. However with Lowe he was “one of our own” and had come through the academy so some people vigorously defended him to high heaven even though it was clear he was nowhere near up to it at Championship level.
  7. I can't find it using the search so I don't know who said it, but I remember when he was here and getting called out for being poor from some of us, one poster said so many managers can't be wrong and that Lowe would be playing in the Premier League long before Rovers will be. 🤣
  8. Fair play to them. They did well and I’m glad they won. It’s a magnificent achievement for them. Fair play to the Under-19s who have won the euros twice recently. It’s a magnificent achievement for them. I’m glad they won. The fact is if either had lost their finals I would have said “what a shame” and just forgotten about it. I don’t know why. That’s just the way it is. When Italy beat the men last year I was disappointed that night. However that feeling was nothing compared to feeling of significant Rovers losses. If I was one of those people who would rather England won a world cup than Rovers got promoted, then maybe my love for England would get me more excited about what the women did yesterday. But as it is I’m glad they won, just as I’m glad if someone from GBR wins a gold at the olympics.
  9. I’m guessing not because “That of course then relies on the steward being prepared to challenge anyone who uses a concession and is obviously not a child or a senior, which is a big ask of the young inexperienced stewards.”
  10. I doubt it affected their following that much, but our rail service currently is a shambles. Avanti didn't confirm the timetable for yesterday until Wednesday.
  11. So they weren’t checking id’s? Just that the ticket was legit and an adult wasn’t on a child ticket.
  12. I guarantee the cost of producing those chips has not risen by £0.80p I highly doubt it has risen by 25% since last season. The only cost that could have spiralled by that much is energy, and that will still only be a fraction of the cost of your portion of chips.
  13. Huddersfield bad but Burnley looking good. It’s only a bad final ball or finish stopping this being a rout so far.
  14. It’s a new season so all the cliches will be out again early. ”Any point away is a good point” - which is not really true. All of the top 6 got well over a point a game away from home last season. ”What do you expect. They’re a premier league squad” - No they’re not. They got relegated cos they weren’t good enough to be a premier league squad and they’ve drawn / lost to *insert lower league team here* already this season.
  15. No I just let you have that as it took two centre halves to replace Lenihan. I can’t really argue that defensively three would be weaker than two. Fair play though. We will find out over the next few games.
  16. Buckley and Travis is as strong as Buckley, Travis and Rothwell ?
  17. Don’t get it. This deal is nothing to write home about.
  18. I don’t think we’re far off and it could really be a breakout season for Buckley. It’s just off what we know I’d rather have last years xi on Saturday than this years xi. And to be equal with last years team for the first half of the season we have to improve our current xi AND find another Khedra and JPVH. Of course if Markanday proves to be a superstar and Carter or Phillips has an impact like Scott Wharton then we may be more than ok. I think the problem is it’s all unproven for the Championship.
