You really think the paperwork was ready, but the club secretary was slow and did other things instead and happened to run over the deadline? Bollocks. It’s meant to be a relatively simple (minutes) job to complete what we needed to send, and the EFL reply was back by 10pm. There surely was some delay that meant we were on the very last minute which caused the problem of Silvester submitting the papaerwork. However some idiots seem to be absolute in absolving Saint Gregg of any blame, despite the fact he hasn’t said otherwise and has taken full responsibility. He was out of his depth and he has cost us royally.

Wouldn't surprise me, but I think that restricts Szmodics by having him too deep and Dolan is generally ineffective there. We've been saying it for weeks, but if we were doing that I'd rather swap Dolan and BBD (or even let them line up as above but be clever enough to keep changing over positions during the game)

I'm unaware of any person who wanted to go that couldn't get tickets, either personally or online. I seriously doubt there are a significant number of Rovers fans who wanted to attend who wouldn't meet the requirements, and who also do not know a season ticket holder well enough to ask them to buy them a ticket.

True, but it also depends on how good the club think he is. If he had one full, exceptional season his value should be significantly higher than what it will be this summer. With FFP, what’s to stop us buying 4 quality players this summer knowing we would cash Wharton in to recoup the money next season? So what if we get an embargo in Jan, we don’t bring anyone of note in then anyway. You’d have to be pretty certain of the player developing as we all foresee it mind.

I’d be immensely disappointed if we didn’t get 1 full season out of him before we cashed in.

I think a draw would be better, but it's the preferred result if one has to win it. Sunderland are at Preston last game and after what I witnessed yesterday that lot would love it if their team chucked it to screw us over. They seemed far more happy to stop us winning than actually concerned a win put them above us and level with 6th.
