  1. Regardless of handball or not, how is a ball from a corner dropping onto someones midrift 4 yards from goal. We've been pretty good a defending corners this season but the one time you just wanted a big head or a goalkeepers fist on it and no-one gets close. Also, why can none of ours whip a corner in like their lad from that side kept doing. Every corner he took was dangerous.
  2. Quite like that just for changing it up. We might be able to switch it and get Brittain and JRC overlapping. And Wharton in the middle could hopefully provide the drive and link we’ve been missing. Back to the overall picture, I think the general feeling around the turn of the year when we hadn’t drawn a game was that there were quite a few wins which could easily have been draws, yet most of the defeats were thoroughly deserved. It always looked more likely we’d start turning the 3 points into 1 rather than turning defeats into draws, and unfortunately that’s what has happened.
  3. Huddersfield equalised at Sunderland. Took a pot shot from 25 yards and it deflected in. Pay attention Rovers. Shooting = Goals It's been predominantly Huddersfield second half. Good chance they go on and win this.
  4. I said a few games back he needs to be brave and so far he isnt. He's playing it safe and hoping it will get different results. From his point of view picking Brereton and Gallagher is going to attract less outside criticism than if he threw Leonard and Wharton in. Throwing more kids in could also backfire and we could get pumped 3 or 4 nil. But I think most people would understand why he did it, and as I keep saying, the status quo isnt working.
  5. No. Still selling from at least 2 different blocks.
  6. Wolves losing 1-0 at HT
  7. On form up until the World Cup break Kaminsky for Mimms would be a close call. I was never Bobby's biggest fan. Other than that, none.
  8. I’d try anything now except the status quo.
  9. An engine is no good if we can’t score. The last few games have clearly shown that. It’s very harsh on Szmodics, but we simply need goals. Would Szmodics be any worse than Brereton out wide. Probably not.
  10. If Dack is fit he starts for me. Simple as that. He is the only recognised goal threat we carry. If we get a goal infront we normally can hit teams on the break, but recently we just never get in front (well we don’t get a Goal full stop). So even if we think he’s only got 45 minutes in him, I’d start him, rather than have to throw him on when we could well be behind and trying to break down 11 men.
  11. Any idea if Dack is anywhere near. Last we heard was he wasn’t going to make Huddersfield but this game will be 9 days since then.
  12. Previously I thought he was just playing bad, but last night was the first time I looked and thought “yeah, you don’t fancy this anymore”.
  13. Bollocks. He wasn’t a premier league striker but was always a handful at this level.
  14. At this level I’d swap Blake for a Gally in a heartbeat.
  15. I'm guessing a few travel with the first team even if they aren't on the bench incase there's a couple of late injuries.
  16. Half Time team talk :- "Come on lads, it's Tottenham"
  17. To be fair they haven’t been playing well for a long while and haven’t really been in the top 6 during 2023. To bottle it you’d have to look like you were more than likely to be in the top 6 come May and then fail. I’d say only us and Millwall could ‘bottle it’.
  18. Hull manager Liam Rosenior remained tight-lipped over which players may miss the televised evening kick-off at Ewood Park but admits his squad is becoming increasingly stretched. “We’ve got a few extra ones (injuries), which is unfortunate,” said the boss. “I don’t want to give anything away at this stage because we’re still waiting to see if they’ll be fit for the game on Saturday. I’m not going to lie, we’re down to the bare bones. “We’ve got a three-game week coming up so I need to be really careful with the squad. At the moment, we’ve had a few extra ones that weren’t expected from the game against Millwall. They’re not long term but they could be doubts for possibly the next two games – Saturday and Wednesday (at Middlesbrough). “It’s not ideal with the injury record we’ve got and the players we’re already missing. I know whatever team we put out will compete, fight and play good football, and that’s all I’m looking for.”
  19. One of my season-ticket holding companions will only have attended 4 of the home games in 2023 due to moves. Great for my other mates who get the freebie, not for the lad forking out £400+ Funnily enough, nobody is interested in coming for free at 8pm on a Saturday night. I think it will be a very poorly attended game on Saturday - almost like one of those midweek fixtures where half the season ticket holders seem to be missing.
  20. He doesn’t say that we can’t. He just believes we won’t, which I think is where many of us are. No-one is saying it’s not possible.
  21. Let's be honest. It's just the reserves in all but name, except for it now makes sure that youth players get a chance. If it was completely under-21's how else are the lads who perennially sit on the bench going to get any game time unless we bring in 'older' reserve fixtures.
  22. Let’s sell the 4500 out first before we start going all Dingley about it.
  23. Sheff United still have West Brom and Preston to play. Keeps them in the mix and honest. 2-0 Pub defending.
  24. I know a couple of groups waiting for open sale on Thursday. There will be a big surge on sales once it gets there.
