  1. I'm too mature to use the 'don't look' emoji, implies the man who choses to be known as Sweaty Gussets 🙈🙈😄
  2. He was shitness personified today, currently with a rating of 1.7 of the BRFCS player rating, but you keep polishing that turd Gav. In fact watch the full game on the official site when it’s available and tell me what minute he does anything other than the absolute basic.
  3. I agree, but a good manager gets the best out of what he has got. I feel JDT doesn’t as he insists that the squad he has must play a certain way to their detriment. The problem is bigger than JDT and GB. But we needed to get lucky with a manager who can get the most out of the academy and what he has by playing to their strengths. We currently are bending limited players to a style which doesn’t help them This is masked by our league position and our win record. But anyone watching the games knows full well that every game we lose we deserve to, but several of the wins have been games which could have gone either way. And now the tide is turning on results.
  4. Or JDT has realised he was wrong to not play him as he’s better than what he has. I suspect the truth is in the middle.
  5. Stop playing Gallagher out wide. Get a better striker than those two on loan. Stop passing around at the back for the sake of it. Get the team committed and matching the opposition for effort and controlled aggression in the middle of the park.
  6. There won’t be 8 games to play when it gets put back cos you’re in the fa cup quarter final.
  7. But where in that plan do you put Gallagher on the wing instead of Dolan or Markanday. And where in that plan do you keep playing passes in your own half instead of clearing your lines. And where in that plan do you refuse to change at half time when it’s clear as day Gally is having a shocker. I get the bigger picture, but todays performance and result is down to JDT making bad choices and also not being able to get the team to match the application of the opposition.
  8. I’ve just looked and we started Antonnsonn and Samuel up front with Dack and DG on the bench 🙈
  9. I’m not sure. I was at the Oldham game, we were inept and that felt like rock bottom just before we turned the corner. To hardly land a glove in a team 19th in league one. However, the fact we are debating this speaks volumes.
  10. This is one of the most interest prem seasons for a long while. Relegation wide open. Top 4 wide open. ‘Big’ clubs struggling and a surprise team looking like they in the running for the title.
  11. So you are saying we are 4 goals worse defensively without Brereton and Szmodics? Personally I think it’s more down to managers now knowing that they just need to press us and close us down. And that’s what is happening. And yet Pickering still plays a suicide ball for goal 1 and Gallagher, one of the centre halves and JRC all fail to just clear it for goal 2. Why? Well because we need possession, cos that’s how we increase value and JDT increases his reputation. I can accept losing, but In my eyes that’s the 2nd most embarrassing defeat since the Kean days, and it’s down to tactics, line ups and attitude.
  12. We beat them 3-0 at Ewood. The side wasn’t hugely dissimilar to today other than Brereton. If not having Brereton leads to a 7-goal swing then god help us. He’s been sussed. Press us high and aggressive, get in front then sit deeper and keep pressing.
  13. @booth I don’t disagree with most of that, but all it tells us is that there are other faults other than JDT. However JDT is a very stubborn, one-dimensional manager and he is currently being found out by a lot of the other managers in the league. On the individual match day thread, that shocking performance is down to him. The bigger picture I agree is elsewhere. I doubt anyone believes with the squad we had available today man for man, we should be getting battered at Rotherham .
  14. They’re getting promoted at Ewood aren’t they? 😫
  15. Players blasted off the pitch with “You’re not fit to wear the shirt”.
  16. I’d have accepted 10th but I wanted better. But for me the bigger picture is we are regressing as we are getting found out tactically and, more worrying, by effort and desire. We had conceded less goals and had a plus 14 goal difference under Mowbray at this point last year so i’m not sure we are more resilient. I don’t want JDT out, but I’m getting very worried as I’m failing to see his good points.
  17. Depends on what you think of what you are watching. Some of the decisions we have made in games (both line ups and tactics) have cost us points. From where we were before the Burnley game then no, I don’t think 10th is a good return. I think a good manager would adapted and have us finishing higher up the table. There will be teams above us by the end who on paper are not necessarily better than we are, and we have got ourselves into a position to have a significant lead over them. I doubt we would be bottom by next Christmas. That Is negative. This league is pretty poor.
  18. Not yet as I don’t think you can do that until he has had a full window. But that defeat has told me that we are not heading in the right direction. We’ve been sussed out now and he currently has no answer. He’s stubborn and unable to adapt to situations (hence the stat of never equalising when going behind). I’m not seeing a whole lot of positives from him at the moment other than early season form which had us riding high in a bad season. We are 7 points behind where we were after 27 games last season, and we would have been 8th last year on this points total. I predict we will meander to about 10th this season. We will lose Brereton, have a window which is average, play the same way next year but as his gameplan has been sussed we will be bottom half by Christmas. Im slowly calming down after that earlier.
  19. Our most embarrassing defeat I can remember since Oldham away in league one. Smell the coffee lads.
  20. A number of times in that first half we had the ball out wide running at their full back. Gallagher and Pickering did it. JRC and Dack had the full back isolated. We got into good positions but failed to capitalise. That’s what happens when you play strikers in ‘wide’ roles. Brereton can carry the ball so carries far more of a threat in those positions. Having lost Brereton, we knew we had little threat going forward. And yet we played Gallagher out wide instead of Markanday who has looked lively for weeks. When it wasn’t working, we came out again and carried on. So what we could have done is actually start Dolan or Markanday in a position that suits instead of playing Gallagher somewhere he has consistently been ineffective. It looked wrong at kick off. It was proved wrong in the first half but it wasn’t changed until game over. Markanday showed in the second half what might have been when they were exposed in that first half. Stubborn. Stupid.
  21. Lack of quality is a big issue. But lack of quality doesn’t put that starting side out, stick with it until the game is lost and force us to play pretty pointless passes to the detriment of our performance.
  22. I describe getting hammered as losing 4-0, and in the second half hardly touching the ball in their box, having just a solitary shot to their 5 and losing the half 3-0. Is that not the game you watched?
  23. And yet we played until 2-0:down and game over without any of them on the pitch. We would scored in that first half with Brereton on the pitch and that would have been a different game. As people have said, we will be screwed without him atm.
  24. I’ve amended my post before you quoted. I think that’s even worse than Preston. At least Preston are a decent championship team.
